It should be a cert requirement that tilt control can be turned off in every game. I don't like Sixaxis and I'm not the only one who thinks that way. But I don't want to deprive others of the fun if they like it.
Disagree with me if you think sixaxis should be removed from every game.
Agreed. Completely undeserved. Why should we give props to a company that fragments their user base like this? Nintendo is providing too little too late in the way of the DSi store.
I'm all for handicaps when implemented properly. I hate games that don't make the elite players work any harder. I'm all for capitalism and dislike socialism in the real world, but in games, if the goal is to have fun, sure... give the elite a run for their money in the unranked stuff. But don't throw me the new player into a dogfight I'm going to get torn up on. I'll just go play a different game.
Wow... even knowing that each FF is independent from the others, you still get pumped about a game you know little to nothing about... other than it's brand and the brand's history.
Geez, and people talk about MS s**ting in a box and calling it Halo. Square is so much worse.
I suppose FFVII justifies itself by having a hugely iconic moment in gaming history... but that was the PS1 for christ's sake! Why are we still doing things the same way?
Honestly, I don't see why we are still pre-rendering our cutscenes. We have some of the most powerful hardware ever in new architectures like the Cell, and we waste the power on... decoding video.
This is what pisses me off about Blu-ray. It's just inviting devs to keep doing the same things they...
What he's saying is, why should Microsoft do something that wastes their time on a relatively useless feature when they could be making the 360 more reliable or adding more useful features?
All Microsoft would have to do to demolish the PS3 and Wii browsers would be to enable applications like Pandora to run properly. Done.
The ONLY reason anyone would say the 360 needs a browser is because the PS3 and Wii have theirs. That's not a justification. That's just mindless feature mongering. It doesn't make any console any better... unless you are a freshly launched PS3 in need of a workaround store front end. God, the web store was a nightmare...
There is no good reason to have a gimped browser on any of these consoles, especially when they can't seem to manage to run decent web applications like Pan...
Yeah, and that crappy movie and demo comes with a feature length film....
And I suppose Oblivion's 16 square miles and hours and hours of conversation had to be split between several disks.
Nope.
I suppose Fuel with it's 5,000 square miles of content will have to be crammed into like 10 DVD9s?
Nope.
All these games are fitting on DVD9 just fine.
Go get a 360.
Then, go get over yourself.
People who feel "betrayed" make me laugh.
People paying for a demo. Where have I heard this before?
Oh that's right... Qore.
...yeah, and Halo 3, too.
Thats funny. There is nothing but fact here, yet someone disagrees with it. Is someone trying to change reality?
I'm personally surprised that You're In The Movies crashed and burned. That game should have been all over the PS Eye. If there was ever a game that would benefit from the awesome clarity of the Eye, it would be that game. Instead it got the crappy vision camera...
I have to hand it to HHG. They are the Fox News of game reporting suddenly. So self-assured and hit-and-miss it's almost worth following, but you take it with a massive grain of salt.
I agree with the "research", but it probably isn't representative of the gaming population. I'm sure someone somewhere will complain about something. And you can be sure, HHG will be there.
Eh... it tried to make a few good points but ultimately drowns in its own bias.
There is a million dollar prize for anyone who can demonstrate they have supernatural powers, like being psychic. No one has claimed it. You know why? Because when they get tested, they have to submit to an objective test.
One person cannot claim success or failure based on their own opinions. You have to have objective numbers that we all get to vote on. And those numbers are sales,...
I swear, if one of these pro-gamers said "I became a gaming master after licking a powerline", there would be a rash of electrocutions in the next 24 hours.
Who cares about a bunch of college dropouts who make their living on games? Let's look at all the deluded fatal1ty wannabees who will dropout of college and never amount to anything other than a burden on society.
um... It's looks just like the Halo 3 menu. Not a thing different.
People who blindly believe anything they're told ("Microsoft is Evil incarnate", for example) probably aren't rational enough to wade through the bullshit and find global warming is a sham.
It's simple economics. Scientists get money from liberal politicians with a feel-good save the earth agenda. If those scientists want more money in the future, they are going to tell the politicians what they want to hear.
@SasanovaS777:
Honestly, Blu-ray is not necessary. Most of the graphics effects are achieved with a relatively compact algorithm. The real magic happens in the processing units, not the texture files.
And for the nuts who hang on every word Sony utters: there is no such this as "uncompressed sound". You can't record digital audio and claim it's in the perfect state. You have to sample sound, which in itself implies a deviation from perfection. And for...
No, tilt is not innovation. Not even close. I have no clue what could possess someone to call a tilt-sensitive controller innovation. It's a gimmick and every implementation so far has been a gimmick. The sooner we get over that, the sooner we can get back to pushing companies to make things that are ACTUALLY innovative.
