If the gameplay sucks, that's it. That's the end. I'm not going to slog through a horrid game just for some hackeneyed story.
Haze was indeed third party... something people only seemed to point out after it imploded and took FR with it.
@Lifendz:
My 360 streams from my NAS drive better than my PS3 about half the time. The other half, they work the same. I usually stream from the PS3 anyway because I like the BT remote, but I've never seen the 360 fail to stream something the PS3 can, but the PS3 has choked on plenty of files the 360 streamed just fine.
Just because Sony says they are a better streaming media hub doesn't mean they are.
Hey, W. Bush must be consulting for Sony now that he left the white house. I wonder if Sony delivered this edict from the deck of an aircraft carrier. "Mission Accomplished", my ass.
You can't just say you captured the hardcore... until you actually do.
How did Microsoft survive the RRoD? They paid one BILLION dollars to replace every single 360 that RRoDed. That's how.
I suppose you guys are part of this mob that wants Microsoft to "pay" for their mistake... to recieve "justice". $1,000,000,000 says they already did. Now, you can throw a scorned consumer fit... or you can call up Microsoft, get a coffin, and get on with your life.
Honestly, if you still want to whine and b*tch that Microsoft...
...Makes you wonder how much space could have been saved by a little simple compression. Most people would not know the difference... only the people who obsess about having the "best".
"Uncompressed" digital content is a barefaced LIE.
You children really need to get over it. The format war is over. Sony won. But you're acting like the loser was supposed to be banished to the wastes or something. Anyone remember those fake campaign attack ads from SNL where Fill Ferrell is harassing the guy who lost the election? ( http://snltranscripts.jt.or... ) Yeah, kinda like that.
Also, you seem to forget that Microsoft was not the ow...
It takes a special (retarded) kind of fanboy to see this as "does Microsoft finally realize Sony is simply better?"
This campaign is great and sticks it to Apple in every way. Let's just face it: Sony makes good hardware and Microsoft makes good software. When you look at it that way, the Viao is a great combination.
It's still a lousy idea. Why limit the already limited demo? I thought the point of a demo was to give just enough satisfaction to whet the appetite. This seems to want to deny that satisfaction...
Sounds like too many steps backwards to me. Not even the Final Fantasy pedigree can save this game if the game sucks, in my opinion.
Your Wiimote's helmet can match your epileptic seizure helmet. Now required for all Wii players...
Never had that happen.
However, I remember when PS3 launched, they had problems with controllers over Bluetooth. Anyone else remember that?
There are some people who still prefer the Duke (the ORIGINAL original Xbox controller), but unlike them, my pituitary gland functions normally...
It's no secret I prefer 360, but I think it's useful to point out what's out and out bad about each controller. You can argue about what they do better, but in practice, what they do worst is more relevant:
* 360: hit and miss d-pad. Little known fact: Microsoft will replace your gamepad if you claim a malfunctioning d-pad. OR you could perform a mod of the controller like I did. Look for XCM controller cases marked as having "new" d-pads.
* PS3: con...
I like the 360 controller over the PS3 for everything except fighting games. I especially prefer it for first person shooters. A company called XCM makes adapters for PS3 to 360 and vice versa. I plug a 360 controller into their adapter and I can better enjoy a game of Killzone 2. I highly recommend you buy the Cross Battle Adapter Plus (360 controller on PS3) over the original version as they fixed a crucial flaw.
As for those fanboys on both sides who want to claim perfecti...
A good writeup. I still don't think Blu-ray is necessary for games, but it's certainly great for movies.
There won't be a "Halo 4".
There might be another game in a different plot arc in the Halo series, but it won't be called "Halo 4".
Hey, someone's thinking with their noodle. Have a bubble.
New hardware, further extended warranty, 2 AAA games.
Sounds like Microsoft is ready to kick Nintendo while they're down. Sony should hurry up and price drop so they can also play kick-the-Iwata.
This is where MS and Sony need to push at the same time and destroy Nintendo.
