I'll bet if I post something negative about FFVII, I'd get even more disagrees.
Either way, I sold my copy to a friend in need and am now Cloud-less. I'm in the market to replace it... and a PSN version sounds great.
I'm still not quite sure what ODST is, besides a game with Halo on the case. We haven't seen gameplay... only a pre-rendered trailer. I get that it's supposed to be a slower more tactical game than Halo, but I still don't know how it will feel.
I'm certainly on the lookout for it, but I certainly haven't decided it's a buy yet. I love my 360, but a LOL at ANYONE who decides a game is good with practically no info. I will try a demo before I decide anything.
I have always said that multiplat is good for the industry. That way you don't have to pick sides and you can buy consoles based on the features. But the fanboys can't have that... it would make too much sense.
I agree with the OP that S-E has lost it's vision, but I'm not about to agree that Sony has some premonition of their weakness and (in their all-knowing wisdom) let them go. S-E is about profits, and going multi-plat in this generation is a great move.
It's all worth it to me to see petty fanboys cry "betrayal".
I love how some guys claim they have a huge c**k, but never expect to be called over to the ruler. Either way, you're going to get laughed at when it comes time to whip out.
You can't say Microsoft is failing until they fail... same way you can't say Sony is succeeding until they succeed. I hate how fanboys say that Sony IS the best, but offer nothing but some self-evident gut feeling.
At the same time, how come last year wasn't the "Year of the Playstation&qu...
I don't think a high failure rate is unacceptable... but leaving your customers high and dry when the failures happen... that's what's unacceptable. And Microsoft certainly did NOT do that.
It doesn't bode well for Microsoft as a business that they had to shell out a billion bucks for the extended warranty, but you would find it difficult to say they didn't do the right thing for customers by subsidizing the millions upon millions of replacements. If they hadn't, you wouldn't s...
Bullshit. All of it. Everyone makes decisions that affect their "success". For example:
* Microsoft chooses to get a year headstart on Sony, and as a result they put out a console without enough stability. As a further result, they spend a BILLION dollars to support a warranty.
* Sony waits a year and launches a much more stable system, but has to make up ground on the Xbox. However, the high technology approach makes for a more exotic architecture. ...
Honestly, it might as well stay in "beta". That would mean it's always under the mentality of a work in progress.
Conspiracy theorists piss me off. Especially 9/11 theorists. Wasn't that a big enough conspiracy already? Why do we have to always add another layer to make things more interesting.
Before you go on your tirade about an evil Microsoft, think about one important question:
Why is this illegal?
Does Germany not have the concept of a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price? Is everything open pricing?
Just disagree with me first. I don't care. Cause then you can listen to what I have to say without worrying which side of the argument I'm on.

Why do people think this is about Microsoft being a "monopoly" and doing their "monopoly" things? Why are you getting caught up on Microsoft being "evil"? I've heard of blind fanboys, but what about blind hateboys?
Microsoft is NOT a monopoly, even if you interpret the definit...
I like Halo as much as the next person, but it IS populated with 12 year olds who's parents probably don't even know their names. Of course they are going to wait for the maps to go free.
And Sandbox is incredible. I would have bought the pack just for that.
The fanboys claiming the game is already perfect are actually doing the game quite a disservice. There is always room for improvement, but acting like the game shouldn't change prevents positive changes from happening.
Co-op, controls, party system... these are all things that if added or improved could change the game for the better, but it won't happen if the most dedicated Killzone acolytes stick their heads in the sand just so they can claim perfection. Is winning an argu...
Hey, a Mac positive story without an airhead raving, blaming Microsoft, and piling on a metric ton of smugness.
Quick, check for holes in the fabric of reality... cause this article actually made some sense.
I never got the "it's already perfect, no changes needed" line. I like my PS3, but to stick your head in the sand and pretend there is nothing wrong... that's just stupid. If we did what all the fanboys told us and ignored the problems, we would never see any improvement.
And there is ALWAYS room for improvement.
For every Xbot-hater who thinks Xbox players are mindless zombies, there is a person who gets tired of having Sony's press releases read back to them as gospel. We are all the same mindless zombies... but the difference between me and the dubiously named user, "Microsoft Xbox 360", is that I'm not the fool who can't recognize it.
Now, let's talk about how Sony made over a million on fake designer clothes in Home and Microsoft hasn't charged for their avatar clothes yet...
The joke's on devs like this. They spent money to develop content I'm not going to pay them for. Their loss.
I love how after one game that would "turn the tide" is released and fails to do so, the next game in line is hyped at the new savior of the platform.
Finally, a look at what that premium theme looks like.
Eh... no need to buy another one. Every time I buy one, I head back to the free Spectrum theme within a week.
No, don't say that... you'll anger the Sony hivemind...
Still, I'm no fan of Apple. I hate them and their reprehensible advertising. But no matter what, you are justified in whatever pricing you use if people buy it, and as long as you are legal about it (no collusion or monopolies). I can't fault Apple for wanting to push the largest margin possible.
(For reference, Microsoft does not control a LIMITED resource, so they do not qualify as a monopoly.)
