Woot. Another nail in the coffin of Blu-ray.
Good for movies. Bad for games.
Someone tried to make the claim that some "galactic" scale adventure game was "bigger". ...Like trillions of miles of vacuum really matter...
@Chemical: Totally agreed. Where KZ2 shines is the multiplayer. Go play online and just skip the campaign. I haven't even touched it.
Even the guy with the 360 logo in his avatar disagrees with you.
I don't expect a lot from ODST, much less a Sony apocalypse. Does everything have to be so fanboyish that other games can't thrive? I welcome the chance for ODST to surprise me... and perhaps by having lower expectations, I'm be better impressed...
If you REALLY REALLY want to understand Halo and aren't just expressing an opinion in a really asshole way, I converted a former Halo hater by having him play through Halo 3 on the highest difficulty in 4 player co-op. He said he didn't "get" it until he played it with friends.
Can't we start adopting a more objective view of what a "good" game is and stop obsessing over which one is "better"? Why does Halo have to be better than Killzone or vice versa.
What really gets me is how people tweak the evaluation criteria to favor outcomes they already decided on. That's not critical evaluation, that's spin. I suppose if you can't win the argument, change the argument to something you can win. But even if you do, that doesn't prove o...
So, it's rated M. That's not a crime in the US. just release it already.
I love it when someone argues Sony's first-party "speaks for itself". Are you honestly arguing a self-evident position on a highly subjective matter?
I'm just going to start ignoring idiots...
Kleptic, that goes for you. Killzone 2 has already dropped off most people's radar. I'm certainly enjoying it. I play online almost every night. But it didn't click with everyone. So, it really doesn't matter how good it looks if no one else wants to play it. ...
Who care's what Sony's packing? That's not going to stop me from playing and enjoying games on my 360.
Or is it you can't afford a 360 AND a PS3? Don't force us to take sides when we don't have to. I'm playing the crap out of my PS3 right now. But I have plenty of games to catch up on with on my 360. So, it doesn't matter how many games show up on PS3 if I buy most of my games on 360 anyway.
You heard it here first. Infamous "is" a good game, right now, despite it hasn't been released yet.
I don't see ANYTHING special about Infamous... but Killzone 2 surprised me, so I shouldn't count it out...
... but it's still completely irrational to declare a game a success until... ya know... it actually succeeds.
Crazy fooking nutjob. The damn game was finished. They aren't going to stick another character in it just to satisfy your ego. This isn't about donating to charity... it about being a bad business move.
God, people in entertainment are the worst sorts of morons
What's wrong with you, I LOL AT U? Are you just a habitual killjoy or is it a genetic disorder?
Coulda used some more work, but for my money, JC was a very enjoyable game. I'm looking forward to more hanging on to a jet fighter's wing at mach 1.
I don't think trillions of miles of empty space and barely polygonal planets compares in the least. Recreate that game in the kind of detail in Fuel and then we can talk about your Godhood.
Guys, "AAA" does not mean anything about it's review scores. It's a class of game, from a publishing perspective.
Here is the loose hierarchy: Shovelware < Anime Game < Movie Tie-in < Budget Title < AAA Game
Any of those games can be rated anywhere in the ratings spectrum, but their "expected" quality of a AAA game is higher. For example, Haze was a "AAA" game... but it blew.
Forget slow. It looks like it's running on an N64. Of course, gameplay counts for a lot, but that doesn't change it looking pretty sh*tty.
um... PAWNED... that's not "fact". That's speculation at best.
Who cares if it only shows up on 360.? I have both. You should, too.
"Graphics of course will be impossible to beat"
Really...what if they aren't impossible to beat?
Funny how people will think WoW soda is a great idea, but they will be the same people who scoffed at Halo soda.
