Ummm....Dutch... trouble with math?

2 million ODST games X $60 = $120 million in sales.

Actually... $50 a year does help clean things up. If MS doesn't keep their service clean, they will lose people's fees. That's called an economic incentive. And Microsoft applies that pressure to developers.

"but but but... I only use it when I'm losing..."

Does not mean ODST is better.

It just means it's controls don't make people puke. And before anyone says the controls are just fine, I'm playing the MAG beta, and all the time thinking that if KZ2 had solid smooth controls like this, it wouldn't be sitting at the bottom of my closet right now.

Seriously, it just means ODST sold better. I think ODST is what a good Halo clone would look like. It would take the parts that made Halo good and frame it in a more tactica...

There is nothing wrong with being a fanboy, because no one can avoid the label. If you say something nice about a console, you're a fanboy. If you say something negative about a console, you're a fanboy. Everyone is a fanboy because there will always be someone who disagrees with you and calls you a fanboy.

Seriously, I have had people call me out for being a PS3 fanboy on rare occasions. And plenty of people on this site know that not the case. I mean, it never happens HERE...

I give my vote for an X-wing revival, but why simply revive the old content when you can build a new and improved version? It would be great if the old missions ran on the new engine too, but the series needs to continue, not just dredge up the old.

What I really want to see is a full war simulation. Your fleet makes moves in battlegroups, and you get to jump in the c0ckpit (evidently i can't say c0ck) for actual battles. It would be so much fun to catch a poorly guarded star ...

Yes, Halo is a big deal. And I love Halo. But I do expect I'll think twice when Halo: Reach hits the market. The measure of how well ODST does will be determined in the sales of the NEXT Halo game, in how many gamers second-guess their loyalty purchases.

By all means, the PSPGo is a great idea. It's just horribly priced.

You price what the market will bear, but that doesn't mean you OVERprice it.

In a rare reversal, I agree with GWAVE. I'll probably still get my fill of fun out of it seeing how I like Halo's gameplay, but if you could quantify fun against the $$ spent, I expect I, the consumer, will come out on the lower end.

I don't call the graphics "weak". Perhaps a little dated, but who in their right mind is going to develop a new engine for an expansion. And therein is the weakness. If they didn't need to develop a new engine, it should be DLC and it s...

The big fuss is the price. I haven't picked up my copy yet... and I still will... but for what one reviewer called "plenty of appetizers, not enough main courses", $60 is a steep price. I was going to get the collectors edition, but I'm rethinking it. If they still have 'em, I'll get the standard edition, and use the rest of the cash to get my wife Katamari Forever.

Eh... I'm thinking about getting the standard edition at the store today and picking up Katamari Forever for my wife. I really don't need another controller.

Bullshit. I have found almost universally that a game that leans heavily on story plays like crap. There are of course exceptions, but by in large, I would rather have a game that PLAYS awesomely than tells a frickin story.

Now, I trust Heavy Rain to pull off both, but lets not forget that complex combat situations are handled with... quick time events. What is this, the interactive video days of the 90's?

This is why I put my code in as soon as I got it. I'm past that 2GB install and ready to go when I get home.

And @Microsoft Xbox 360: Not only is your name fail, but loot-ninja is hardly "media". I think your ego is safe for another cold lonely night.

I would really prefer a straightup Xbox themed etchjob. But instead I have to pick a game that will go out of style eventually...

Honestly... I see a difference in colors and lighting angles. I think the PS3 version looks better by virtue of the color saturation, but not for any technical difference. They just applied more polish to the PS3 version than the 360 version.

But what would really get my goat is the way the gimped the gore out of the PS3 version. Come on... that's one of the trademarks of the recent NG games...

Why did Bungie move away from Microsoft if they are just going to make more Halo? I suspect you will get your answer around next year's E3. Bungie is working on other projects, believe it or not. Plus, at the same time, people like to make money. And Halo Anything makes money.

Polystyrene? You mean this coffee cup (you have to take my word that I have one) could be remade into a master chief bust?

This is great. Since polystyrene does not decompose, future civilizations will know of Master Chief!!! </sarc>
