Ok, instead of calling them 360 exclusives erroneously, why don't we harp on how they aren't playable on PS3. Or how you would be hard pressed to run the PC versions on a $300 computer.

Your choice.

Of all the arguments in this console war, this has got to be the most nitpicky, non-issue.

Of course GT5 will sell very well. It's been FIVE years since the last game in the series...

Oh the irony of your name. Now you are splitting hairs in support of your favored console. Ok... I can play that game too.

360 actually came with composite cables out of the box at launch... and HDMI on the Elite, as opposed to PS3, that only (and still) packed composite. Unfortunately, both consoles only pack-in composites now. so it would seem 360 took a step back where PS3 never even took that step forward.

Amazing how short some people's memory is...

You are wrong. HDMI is not necessary for HD. I can output 1080p over VGA no problem. In fact, component could handle 1080p... and it does on 360. It would on PS3 were it not for d-wad execs who were paranoid about copyright.

Calling out PS1 games as "full" games? I don't think so....

We are talking about CURRENT generation games, and you know it. In fact, if there were to be a Day 1 online game launch, it would be on 360. They actually have the infrastructure to deal with it, believe it or not.

The only real way to compare Xbox Live and PSN right now is to ask if you would pay $50 a year for PSN. I would have a hard time saying yes. If given XBL-for-$50 as a baseline, I would pay $20 a year for PSN.

There really is no valid way to compare right now since 1) so much of XBL's features are actually free with a silver membership (you don't need gold to get demos, DLC, Arcade games) and 2) PSN's current subscription plan involves a shill-y little video "Magazine"...

I'm not sure I get the point of this post. Do you simply like patting yourself on the back?

Be careful where you carry that touch. Alcohol is flammable.

And what of the PS3 wand? I'll admit it has more potential for ACTUAL games, but it's not going to have the mass market appeal of Natal. I actually feel sorry for Sony's position right now. It's the better motion system, but it's not going to get the same amount of exposure. The mass market will see it as simply a Wii clone, while Natal actually does something new.

(No Eyetoy comparisions please. There is no comparison if you've been paying attention.)

I use both my 360 and PS3 on a nearly daily basis. Actually, my 360 is in it's travel case since Christmas and I've been using my PS3.

If you really think PSN is superior in any way, aside from the obvious cost savings, you're in denial. If you switched places and made XBL free and PSN cost $50 a year, then what? Could you still rationalize PSN into the better service?

6000d ago 2 agree6 disagreeView comment

Which is better is a matter of personal preference. If you can't hock up $50 an year for service, PSN is great. As far as I'm concerned, that's the only way PSN is better. In all other measures, XBL is superior.

Of course, there are people who say the measures on which their favorite console is best are the only ones that really matter. They would be biased.

PSN has done a good job catching up, but now, they need to get to the finer details they keep missing. I keep hoping they mandate demos for EVERY downloadable title (at least in the same class as XBL Arcade titles). But they never have.

The idea that Microsoft had the same stake in HDDVD that Sony had in Blu-ray is WAY off and only exists in the mind of Microsoft hateboys. Blu-ray was Sony's tech and they had studios to dedicate to Blu-ray. Microsoft was simply a supporter. That's like saying Sony, the 5-star general of the Blu-ray Army, defeated Microsoft, the Lance Corporal of the HDDVD Army. Sony won the war because they were in perfect alignment from day one. Studios, tech, and the console to Trojan-Horse it with. ...

About to get a new Samsung LED-lit LCD in the next 3 months. Once I do, it will be Blu-ray for everything.

But damn... The Hangover was a mediocre movie.

Game worth playing.

The sequel, not so much.

Why does it have to be just Gamertags? Sounds like free MS advertising to me... and you know they have the cash to pay for their own ads.

And whatever happened to "Screen Names" and "Handles".

I choose Edge of Blade (XBL) and EdgeOfBlade (PSN) as part of a natural progression. I used to go by Diamond Blade until I was rejected for a clan membership in a game, owing to a bad outing. I changed my name to Edge of Blade, retook the tryout, and kill...

I know all too well the soul crushing disappointment of a grandparent that doesn't get it. But this is a chance to do something nice for your grandparents.

Get the game anyway and put it in the case they got, then bring it over and have them watch you playing it. Not online, of course; your grandparents probably think you an internet for fishing.

They will get to see you gunning down innocent air travelers in Russia. That will probably hasten their otherwise slow ...

Let me make it simple for you:

If you are a PS3 fanboy, the 360 has a 99.9% failure rate, and anyone who has a working Xbox must be the .1%, though you aren't sure the Xbox 360 sold even a thousand units so the .1% is even a whole person.

If you are a 360 fanboy, the 360 failure rate within 3 years in 0% because if Microsoft replaces it, it doesn't count.

I'm inclined to believe that more older boxes will fail, Microsoft will still replace them, people w...

Thank you Saaking for stating the obvious. This is a win for PS3 owners. Thankfully I own all three consoles, so anything is a win for me.

Please stop spewing your biased PS3 crap. They had a damn good year... does it still have to be about this partisan bullshit?

@Udidntlistenpunk: You're right. +bubbles for you.

Bioshock was everyone's token "creative" fps. It had a few good ideas, but the Big Daddy concept was just so... imbalanced. Wail on him, die, wail on him, die, wail on him, kill him, lose track of sister, wail on him, die.... you get the picture.
