Dude... no one was forcing this guy to take his trophies so seriously they broke his love of gaming. Some people are way over-competitive. I've seen people get competitive over how competitive they are... and they even asked an innocent bystander to referee the discussion to see who had the better argument.

I like getting achievements and trophies. Really I do. But I like it about as much as I like cutscenes, blood and gore, or taking a Prestige. It's all ancillary to the ac...

This is more evidence of the arrogant nature that's creeping back into Sony and the PS community. Are we really going to go with "the game is so self-evident, it sells itself"?

We should be encouraging Sony to advertise. Dante's Inferno got a freaking super bowl ad! Why can't Sony hock up a few million for a decent ad campaign? Is this some misguided attempt to hold Sony to a "higher moral standard" than Microsoft, to the point that Sony shouldn't advertis...

Flock! Off. 75%, in fact...

I'm fine with PS3 taking the lead, as long as 360 also outsells the Wii.

#1 thing going for Arc: buttons. I really think Arc is going to be the better motion tech, even if Natal happens to be the more popular.

I'm getting Natal and Arc, unless I try one in the store and it just blows. With the rest of the generation riding on this tech, both sides know the stakes.

I'll echo this from the opposite end. I'll defend my Xbox 360 and the other features against things like Blu-ray and the relevance of Bluetooth tilt controllers.

For all intents and purposes, gameplay graphics are not appreciably different.

So... are you buying another PS3 or something? Because we are talking about a game, not which machine has better specs.

I find it more than a little amusing that so many of you think this site is biased because the 360 wins out on a handful of these comparisons, though most of them are an unqualified tie.

What's downright scary is you believe there is some vast conspiracy to put PS3 shots in the place of the 360 shots and vice versa.

Anyway, between the inherent inconsistencies in these screenshots (time of day shadows, depth of view, other semi-random variables), it's hard to pick an...

Toulouse recently gave an interview for G4 where he spells it out that NOTHING in Live moderation is automatic (not even getting people to "help" you change your gamertag). So, no, people might gang-up on people who are homosexual, but it won't lead to unwarranted suspensions. It might lead to suspensions against people who abuse the reporting system, though...

One of these days, I'll drive by a field of Sony fanboys with their heads planted in the sand and just ignore them. Unfortunately, this one has caught my attention.

No. MAG is a game that needs a lot of work. And, just like all other supposed Messianic games the Sony fanboys look for hope in, their denial only serves to dilute the message the community should be sending to the developers: this needs to be fixed.

To answer glibly, because Dante's Inferno is in the public domain... the issue is with the title.

Though I still think this is a pile of junk coming from a long drawn out ego trip.

This officially makes Jaffe a white-trash diva developer. He is from Alabama after all. Someone needs to take this redneck down a notch, Ion Storm-style.

Hey, maybe Sony should sue MS for Gears of War having a deceptively designed acronym similar to God of War.</sarc>

See, I've always wondered what would happen if I put up a poll asking if Microsoft should face criminal charges for charging $50 a year for online gaming. And post it only on N4G. How many mor...

I still care surprisingly little. This is the kind of rabid FMV-worship I despise. I have never liked a game that was carried by it's story, ergo I loathe people who stir up flame wars about cutscenes.

I hope Microsoft learns from this fiasco. I'm still a loyal Microsoft fan thanks to Microsoft sinking over $1000 in replacement costs on me and most other dedicated 360 gamers... that's gotta count for something... but you can't just sweep a crisis like this under the rug.

Xbox will not survive another QA failure like this. Here's hope it makes the next system better.

@Hellangelzx: Rolling? Has rolling EVER been a good thing? Now, instead of everyone jumping around like a rabbit on steroids, everyone will be Sonic-the-Hedgehog-ing it all over the place. Not exactly an improvement in my opinion unless it actually makes a difference in gameplay... and not a difference that will entice pro-inclined players to roll everywhere they go.

I suppose I should stop expecting mature rational people in the open zone...

No one "ruined" Heavy Rain. How could they? How much of the world do you really think comes to N4G?

Look, the proof in Halo has always been in the playing, not the watching of teaser videos like this.

This is still alpha. This is still pre-beta. In the beta, we get our hands on this and can finally tell if this is just an incremental improvement or something worth getting excited about.

I see a few things of promise. While much of this is "same old", it all depends on what the community does with this. For example, think of a game of Grifball with jet...

Your sarcasm is well received.

On the off-chance that wasn't sarcastic in nature, why does it have to be like melee in existing Halo games? There wouldn't even be a Master Chief... or humans for that matter. It's a completely different genre entirely.

@FishCake: I would be hesitant to call the long wait between GT games a good thing. I think that series is hitting some serious diminishing returns when it comes to delaying.

@van below: I think you would be hard pressed to find a real Halo fan who wants a "Halo Kart". You might find a bunch of Halo haters, interested only in driving the property into the ground...

I've heard people talking about 3rd person Halo, RPG Halo, MMO Halo...

Why doesn't anyone think about a beat-em-up epic Halo, like God of War? Follow the history of a great Elite in a kind of ancient-history story with lots of fighting with traditional weapons. Honestly, there is room there for an entirely new story.

Of course, I expect something somewhat new and exciting rather than a rehash of all the other epic beat-em-ups.
