I'm really liking the look of this. [2]
I don't know much about the game (haven't read about it) but at least seems another game with a more mature theme, and to this I cheer.
When I see a '18' red seal and a M on pegs' my hopes go all way up, I hate meaningless games or shallow ones. Or little peeps with big heads ;/
But.. c'mon, I know what you are saying but.. did you play oblivion or fallout with new modded economics and/or general mechanics? I understand the will to play the game as the dev saw it, but - still - the mods are perfect. I mean the gameplay ones indeed, not only gfx. I just can't play 'vanilla' after morrowind and oblivion, too much mistakes.
But after reading some interviews Skyrim seems to be aware of that.. if it comes nicely I'll buy PC and PS3...
Ok the couch and a 40"+ TV is almost unbeatable BUT I really can't miss the gorgeous mods on PC.
If you have a capable PC and still get this on console I have to say you're going to loose a LOT. Bethesda games are good, but they come excellent with mods.
I would advise to hook up your PC on that TV and enjoy a true over-the-top experience on Skyrim. If you can't at least you have trophies/achievements =]
That's some childish (or noobish) article. The reasons are so obvious that don't need a question. What's next? 'Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallou t/HL2/Civ/Sims/Warcraft/... Mods Look Amazing — Why Couldn’t Bethesda/Valve/Firaxis/Maxis/B lizzard/.. Do This?'
If one make a mod will see how is easier to visualize the better of things after it's done, not when they're writing the game code and measuring limits (as said earlier in this thread).
People must at least try to understand other cultures. World wasn't exactly born on July 4/1776. You on your culture probably represent a very small group - which thinks and analyses globally, don't expect the majority of any society (i.e. a country) to think like that.
I don't know if you're American but since it seems so: people from the very small groups who think in my country considers most Americans dumb, TV/shopping-driven, completely alienated from t...
"Day one purchase for me." +1
I'm waiting for this to be released for a long time. I didn't have any console and Journey was one of the games that made me purchase a ps3. Very immersible by screens and videos, I wonder when I play it!
Unfortunately I couldn't get a beta code, but in a way was good, I want to experience it first time only it's ready to go full throttle =)
If you want to make more profit make better games, better advertising and less legal auto-sabotage (@Sony) so people like us game-geeks will buy it, love it, maybe (bold on maybe) sell the ONE we have, but show it on our friends faces and make all of'em buy it too because they KNEW it was fun enough.
Or do you REALLY think every single sale comes as if people was like us who eat game news every day?! Get real devs.
"An example given was the ability to sabotage a lumber yard and watch the effect it has on the economy."
Not that TES Nexus guys won't make better economy systems (oh yes, they will) but I'm glad to hear this.
TES games are known for their immersion, and I guess Skyrim's going to be a great improvement, not only by the obvious graphics but gameplay mechanics - you see Bethesda going in the right direction, different from other devs (...
I would take a look at Catherine - rather unique game - but truly, I'm happy I'll be able to save some for the next months:
- Ico & SoTC HD
- Uncharted
- Skyrim
- Silent Hill 2 & 3 HD
- Battlefield 3
- Batman Arkham City
- Bioshock Infinity
(...)
omg.. I'll sell a kidney
I guess I'll just pretend Agent 47 was killed and some former marine who doesn't know how to disguise and has x-ray glasses was put in his place. '-__-
r.i.p.
That's a sad slap on Lionhead's face, which imho is a dev with great visions but somewhat always execute them poorly (on PC I mean, I don't have a xbox) take for another example B&W2. Something in LH inner workings just don't seem to work when I go to their forums and read their news.. ehm.
And that website can be in its early days but the article is well written and argued, pretty much the way I'd like to see if I was looking for an almost technical...
I would like to see a Top 5 Best genres from this guy to see what kind of sick games the nut job plays, really.
hm, I have the UK (region 2) LA Noire and when I 'noobsly' bought Rockstar Pass from US psn (since I play only there) the game just won't recognize it.
After a week with Rockstar [great, btw] support they gave me an UK R.Pass code then I could install there and after installed I could play the dlc with my US account, since their dlc is multi-account (as stated here: 5462d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment
Usually how long do these sales last? I have a ps3 for several weeks only, don't know about psn events at all..
I would totally agree if wasn't a Total War game.. I play those since Shogun and, the dev team really listens a LOT the community, it's almost like it needs this final refinement, which comes from the feedback of the experienced players from TW series.. these players can be very annying sometimes but, I agree -- maybe too much time until it feels like a finished game -- but when it is, I think it comes perfect.
Well, at least was with the ones before ETW =]
Or the game is showing itself so good that PC gamers can't handle wait or it's its marketing crew who is making a hell of a job, but I can't hear anymore about this silly "alan wake on pc in up in the air"..
if the "game dev team" can't decide about this I don't think they can make a *very good* game after all. Decide about it already..
Sorry madpuppy I thought you were generalizing, it has been very common..
Here in Brazil this kind of scene is very common, on the called "favelas", big and poor communities scattered all around the big cities. We just have to find a way to live together, while the corrupt government does its stuff over and over again. But, yes, we have hell holes like that everywhere almost, I just thought you were calling all the stuuf a hole alltogrther, sorry ;P
..this MMO, and it's being called World of Darkness so far:

Ok, i just watched the review on GT ( http://www.gametrailers.com... ) and the game looks amazing, not only visuals, it really is calling to play all the night, like in old days.. I have to take off what I said before, snif.. =P
I liked but, as the author said, less than I wanted to. The biggest flaw was indeed the world around the cases. After playing each of the great GTA's and RDR (and even Bully), LA Noire is too much linear and really boring when you finally want to take a rest of the main 'quest'/cases.
Not to mention the order you get your promotions. By far I thought Homicide the most fun department you play, they should make a whole game only with Homicide cases (maybe one or ano...
