that's true, that's why I hope the unavoidable epic fail of EA's Origin comes quickly and let us be with Steam selling EA titles again.

how in the f's name Assassin's Creed 1 was a disappointment? The thing was hyped but it not even existed before it launched. And the game was very good on trying to put some history and action together.

I have some nostalgic feelings about flower because it was really the first time I used the sixaxis on ps3, was a joy.
BUT get the demo and play it first.. I sure like it but 80% of my friends don't, and still 60% of them would buy it because of the hype it got and then flame it for ignorance.
Flower is more of a beautiful abstract experience that will amaze you if you're into more deep concepts, but can become a waste of money if you just game to...

hmm I didn't see I actually 'agreed' with that, my mistake - I was more on the immersion subject - I usually choose story over anything else.

I agree. Funny is, I was reading a thread about Bioware/DA2 exactly before going here, so I feel a little bit of pessimism right now.
But I trust Bethesda, they seem to be making the right moves in recent games (yeah even Brink, at least they're trying different paths).
BUT since Oblivion lots of things changed in gaming - I mean tendencies - I guess Skyrim will definitely show if Bethesda is going to start to 'EAfy' its games or not.

Really.. EA just doesn't seem to get it. It's a oil company disguised as a game publisher. It make things to sell for a million of noobies/casual/social gamers because it's easier, they just swallow - they won't complain like we do. If a franchise fails EA has enough power nowadays to shut some down and acquire the next dev to be shuttered down next year or such.

It's nice to see some market being explicitly affected by ethics. R* always kept its mind about the games they make and now it's saying that doesn't agree how the game development was done. Being a company it just couldn't throw off a long dev title like that, but now it just doesn't agree with certain methods to make a game to happen.

BUT the problem is that here in my country Saint Seiya was a HUGE (yes, H*U*G*E with stars) hit when we were kids and no console (besides the already old in that time NES) released anything to feed the kids hunger for a Saint Seiya game. If you were to playground and didn't mention the series you were just.. weird.

As a developer I think 'evolving' a software usually brings a much better piece than creating a whole new one. It makes better all the good of it and lends the ugly to the trash. That's why Nintendo franchises, IMO, give the most mature and creative modern games.
BUT they just don't seem to be able to release anything new. If you see a good rating/review about a Nintendo game you can bet your week budget that it's about a remake or a no.2, 3...

No one said it's the end of the world but most people who are upset about this probably has a Steam account for 3+ years with 50+ games, 50+ friends, screenshots, achievements and so on.. you just get used to have (almost) everything you play on pc there.
And I'm not saying only because of the fact you would have another 'resource-clogger' game client (yeah Steam's heavy but EA's has all the hopes to be worst yet) open but how this company-eater mana...
I particularly have to stick with SH in this question. I don't know what happens to me, I have all the tension, heart beating (I even asked my brother to pass through some corridors back in SH2/PC one time) but I can't, I just can't miss any SH game. Maybe I'm just sadistic =/
I bought it before so my sister could have some fun, which did not. I don't know if this version is 'fixed' but the old was almost impossible to play. VERY BUGGY. I have played on android and I don't think you can have the same good experience without a touch screen (or mouse maybe, didn't tested on pc).
But, even if it was fixed I just don't like being a beta tester who pays and doesn't even get the new version. This should be the worst commerci...
I was reading your good comment until you started to 'spoil' the Reefer Madness DLC. I know most people considers spoiler when you tell some fact about something but to me specific opinions, mini-reviews, etc is as worst as 'true' spoilers. Maybe it's just me.
