That's pretty much the exact opinion I had after playing it for an evening. You can tell it's loaded with potential from pretty much every angle. The voice recognition, the hub navigation and the games have a lot of different ways they can grow.
At the same time, there isn't one single aspect that stands out as anything extraordinary. At least not yet.

I hear you. I love that Hulu claims they have movies. Have you seen the Hulu selection of movies? They're laughably bad.
Have you tried the Hulu app? It's not very good. Netflix is a much better service and a much better value.

Yep, it requires patience. If you take the time to get used to it, it really is a viable alternative to a standard controller.
First off, that is way off topic and second, how is Kinect a new experience? PlayStation Eye was (and is) doing the same thing now that Kinect is.
Strange fact about this game: It's getting pretty terrible reviews from the journalists (although this particular review is fairly positive) but its got a 4.47 score on PSN.
That function alone makes it a PS3 win for me, and I have a 360 with a gold subscription. I hate having to run to my PC to search for something manually. Bring on October for the US release!
Every single thing you listed is subjective... you know what else is subjective? Review scores.
Really, it's ok that you and I have different opinions.
If I would've given this game an actual score, it would've been a real process deciding between a 9 and 10. On one hand, it is the best Halo we've gotten so far but on the other, 95% of it is the same stuff we've already played - just in a different setting.
