Did people actually think this was about to happen? That Activision/their developers were about to turn their backs on millions of paying customers?
Morons.
So wait, am I understanding this right? Their source that it's in shambles comes from 'a Joystiq reader'?
Hacking might be bigger than it has ever been right now in MW2, but it's likely only affecting a tiny number of people in comparison to how many still play.
Here, someone make a news story out of this: "I haven't run in to it, therefore the game is completely back to normal and may have never had issues to begin with."
D'oh!
Hmm... an image like this would be so easy to photoshop but it's hard to say for sure.
Dup. post. Sorry.
Why can't go back to the old style of N4G where one-bubble users are automatically hidden? Ugh, such trash we put up with on here sometimes.
On topic: I'm one of the unfortunate users that can't get ESPN3, and it sucks. Even though I'm not really all that interested in ESPN, I would still like to have the option.
That's likely a promotion that comes out of the developers' pocket as well.
And regardless of whether or not you think motion is useless, it's still in there. Same with bluetooth. Those are two expensive pieces of technology that likely required their fair share of R&D and testing.
Less if you already have a camera. With all the demos on the Store, you could try the Move for only $50.
Although, if you want the full experience, you're looking at around $180 if you don't already have a camera.
It's not that bad. Sure, MSRP is high but you can find them for much cheaper.
Last time I was on Amazon they had the black 360 controller for $28 and the black DS3's for $43.
Besides, how often do you have to replace a controller? Once every couple of years?
I'm a sucker for gaming headsets and that PX5 looks great on paper.
Huh, I'm guessing you don't own one. Mine still works great.
Had a great time playing it with my in-laws this past weekend. Without something like Kinect, they would never even get near a video game console.
I'm sure there's a margain of error on behalf of VGChartz but I doubt they're nearly as inaccurate as all the SDF boys would have you believe.
That said, King is right, financial reports will tell the real story. If they're not at 50, I'm sure they're at least getting very close.
The newest Dead or Alive game, the newest Metroid game, Fist of the North Star and APB.
I guess I did a good job selecting my games in 2010. I didn't play any of those :-)
@aperson
I think the same thing about Halo Reach. For me, I put it in the same boat as GT5. It might not be what the critics wanted, but they're both exactly what fans of the franchise wanted.
Both the top two comments are pathetic, regardless of which console they prefer.
I get what you're saying but games like Mass Effect are what RPG's have become. At least in the west, the old-school RPG's are struggling to keep their foothold. They're being replaced and outsold by games like Mass Effect and Fallout on a very regular basis.
So yeah, not at all a surprise to see Mass Effect win, at least not for me.
Ahh, I see. Yeah, looking at his comment history, he looks like he's a few french fries short of a happy meal but I digress. At least he only has one bubble.
On topic: Late or not, if you're a ps3-only gamer, don't miss out on this one. And don't get caught up in all the graphical BS. I played the demo last night and to me it doesn't look quite a sharp as the 360-version, but it's still a top-shelf game that deserves to played by all.
Umm... what?
No surprise here. Mass Effect 2 was amazing. Played the shit out of it when it first launched, and I'm very pleased to see it coming to the PlayStation 3.
Console rivalries aside, everyone should get to experience this masterpiece.
Agreed, I like a challenge. But, er, this game is like 5 weeks from launching...
There's already review copies out and embargo's have been lifted?
Smells a little fishy. Plus, this can only be a SP review... right?
