Eeee, I don't know about GOTY confirmed, but this certainly looks good. May is a BIG month for games, but I would say this is easily in the top 2 for the month.
This seems like kind of a strange thing to bundle together, but it's an awesome deal. It $55 bones just for a DS3, so you're basically getting a great game for only $5 more.
I could see the Uncharted bundle being the most popular. Just about everyone who owns a PS3 has played Uncharted 2, but I doubt nearly as many have played the original, which is also a great game. Perfect time to give it a spin.
Do you have any proof of what you're claiming? When I returned a 360 to walmart just after launch because of RROD, the customer service guy told me they were boxing up all the ones they received and sending them back to Microsoft.
So no store has to return defective merch and the vendor just ships them new stuff? What's to stop stores from claiming defective merch that was really ok just to get free merch back from a vendor? That doesn't make any sense.
If I'm...
Not to get too far off topic here, but I think it's way too early to say that Sony has nothing left. Both consoles have strong line-ups, but Sony's real strong point as of late has been firing up new IP's. I do agree that Sony will stay in 3rd place (especially in NA), but I'm sure they have an ace or two up their sleeve that will get them out of this gen without too many scars... and that's coming from a mostly 360 supporter.
You're getting disagrees because you're basically trolling. The headline of this article doesn't state, "MS gets to 40 million and therfore is the greatest console ever." This is just basic news, and about 90% of the gamers here know that both Nintendo and Sony have done this before as well, but that doesn't mean this isn't news worthy.
It's just gaming news, get over it... or stop coming to a site called "NEWS 4 Gamers"
EDIT @Tinyman: Oh ...
Glad there's others out there that "get it" too. Bubbles for you my friend.
Man, it sure looks like that last screenshot signifies that we'll be able to watch replays from our PC's... How f-ing awesome would that be?
I really liked it when Guerrila offered top-down battle replays on-line for Killzone 2, but to potentially be able to use the file share and watch full replays from a PC?... Incredible.
But hey, all those haters are right, Bungie never innovates or brings anything new to the table. /s
The idea of having a chainsaw-less playlist greatly interests me.
I'm sure there are others that would also like to see a shotgun-less playlist.
Actually, you're right, I died a lot. I haven't seen that much jumping and shooting since the last time I played Halo.
lol
Wow, that was pretty much the worst thing ever... I can tell you for a fact that there are a handful of Little Big Planet levels that are MW2 themed that trump this all day long.
Just awful.
The article was a good read, but assuming you were the one to submit it to N4G, you should probably pick a better time to submit. These articles about the console wars do get approved for the front page most of the time, but this was posted in the middle of the night. Next time, try for the afternoon or early evening.
Also, if you really want some feedback and site hits, try picking one side or the other. Create an article similar to this but be honest about your personal pref...
I hate fanboys just as much as the next guy, particularly when they troll in articles that aren't even associated with their console/platform of choice, but if there's one thing that all these fanboys prove, it's just how passionate so many gamers are about their games. Sure, we could do without the senseless name-calling and bold-faced fanboy lies, but people fighting that hard over which is better only helps proves how strong this industry has become.
I've been visiting N4G fo...
Wow, there have been some pretty crappy fan-made tribute films out there, but this one isn't half bad. No it's not big budget action flick, but it's pretty sweet for what it is. It's obvious someone(s) put a lot of time in to it.
Who invited Johnny-law to the party? Sue some no-name website's author? You can't be serious.
Sounds like there's a Geo-fanboy out there that's a little upset about all the negative talk surrounding him.
@Proxy: I'm not defending anyone, nor did I imply that I was... that might be the most random reply I've ever gotten on N4G.
I actually just sold my 360 copy and bought it for PS3 because I can never find full games when I play. I've heard in the evenings everything is fine, but at 3 or 4am (CT) I can't get a game with more than 8-10 people in it. It's meant for 12 on 12, and based on the XBL activity charts, there's no lack of people playing. My NAT type is open and I have a very quick connection (20 down, 2 up) so I know it's not me.
So I rented the PS3 version, and it's extremely rare that I ge...
Kind of like Sony and Socom 4. If they're willing to let something that big be announced early, it really makes you wonder what else they have up their sleeve. Should be a huge E3 for both.
Read the article you linked. He came out later and clarified that it may still come out this gen, and that it would be on the U3 engine if it did.
His original statement was taken out of context, which is why most people who posted articles about it didn't directly quote him.
I understand why you'd think that, but the reason it makes it seem like Gears 3 is because he's referring to when he announced Gears 2. When Gears 2 was announced, every other sentence out of his mouth was "bigger better and more bad ass." And yes, he caried a lancer out for one of his Gears 2 conferences.
If this wasn't a Gears announcement, then there's no reason for him to even refer to his Gears-related antics in the past.
@Blaze: No, I didn't. ...
I give up. I'm not trying to speak for the whole community, but if you haven't seen the vast majority of the hardcore gamers here on N4G speaking negativley about the Wii and motion controls for years now, you obviously haven't been paying much attention.
As for you thinking I'm making some "song and dance"(?)over nothing, you're not seeing the whole picture. Why don't you go ask all the old Nintendo fanboys how much they play their Wii, or if they even bought one. ...
Then how about you go play there instead of trolling here.
