Numbers are definitely important and don't let anyone tell you different, but for me there's no doubt that Sony has the best software lineup, regardless of how much they sell.
Last.FM is a piece of garbage. Their music suggestion service couldn't possibly be any more flawed.
Zune streaming service that's on Xbox does less than Qriocity does and it's $5 more expensive.
$10 sounds perfectly fair to me...
If your friends are on their sixth or seventh prestige, then they likely don't want to pull away from a game they've invested so much time in to for a beta that has only one map.
Hopefully when Killzone 3 launches, they'll give the full game a shot.
I don't think gamers could handle any more. If they've got new stuff, great, but they should probably push it to next year to make sure 2012 is as good as 2011.
Very excited to give it a try in 3D, but I've been pretty underwhelmed by the tech so far. I'd prefer to have brighter, sharper and better performing visuals.
@Blacktric
You didn't even get to see that part until you beat it on Legendary which means it wasn't prevalent enough for anyone but the die-hards to see. Halo 3 had a solid ending. The Halo universe is about more than just Master Chief. All they did there was leave an opening for a spin off for the Master Chief character. The Halo story ended right there.
No, I don't think he is but even ODST was originally supposed to be an add-on to Halo 3.
It's highly unlikely this is anything but a MP/Firefight expansion, I'm just saying that it's possible. Look at BioShock 2 and Minerva's Den. Single player expansion that had nothing to do with the original story.
Halo 3 had a solid ending too, and then we got ODST.
It doesn't have to follow the same story.
Yeah, I darken the doorways of both on a semi-regular basis and Blops always has a lot more people than Reach does.
I'm sure he likes more than one game, but he (just like most of the other SDF boys) have gotten so defensive about their console that anything that's not a PS3 exclusive or better on the PS3 is immediately the enemy.
I'll never understand it.
@Rockman
Please don't feed the trolls. They've already infested this article. Probably best to move and comment somewhere else... that is, if you can find anywhere on N4G where they aren't lurking.
It's not that simple. I know it probably seems that way, but it's not. If every game publisher honestly thought they could sell their packs for $15 a pop and make tons of money without driving away their customers, they would. Activision makes their maps so expensive because they know people will pay for them.
Battlefield's community (on consoles) is not as strong as the CoD community is. And every publisher gets something out of their DLC. No one does it out of t...
Double post, sorry.
Just to clarify, Halo maps were 3 for $10, but I agree with you about Battlefield. Their packs are great value.
Can people get off the price comparisons, please? It's ridiculous to compare DLC to games.
It's like saying, it's stupid to spend 2 grand on a new set of wheels for my car because I can buy a different used car for the same price. Hey genius, did it ever occur to you that maybe I don't WANT a new car? Maybe I just want to make what I have better.
Same situations with map packs; I love CoD and I want new maps to play on a game I love. It...
Wow, it's looking very good so far.
Looks pretty slick for a mini.
LMAO, I was beyond drunk when I posted that. Disregard! :-)
@Colombiano
Xbox 360 + 250GB HD upgrade = $260
Your PS3 + 500GB HD = $353
Without mandatory installations, I don't need as much room on my HD. Not hard to choose.
"Numbers are only important to shareholders"
You mean the people that actually own and have a large amount of control over the studios that make the games?
Stop kidding yourself, sales are extremely important. I'm glad Killzone 3 is good enough that GG won't have to worry about it... because it will sell.
