And Cities Skylines on PC sold 1 million in a month, and far more than The Order 1886.
Just let that sink in.
A flagship PS4 game sold less overall than a PC city building simulator.
Apparently having "25 million" PS4's sold means nothing.
That nebulacustomgaming PS4 controller is incredible.
Shame it's £99...and they say PC gaming is expensive. Jesus.
Give up dude, it's N4G.
Nothing but blind PS4 fanboys around here.
You think microtransactions in AAAs are bringing down gaming?
*sigh*
CONSOLES ARE BRINGING DOWN GAMING. How many interviews have we seen now where developers have basically said "we wanted to do X and Y, but the consoles couldn't handle it so we had to scrap that idea."
How many games have come out running poorly and the devs have basically said "the hardware can't cope so we had to scale back".
G...
This is the first AC game where I close it down after maybe an hour or two of play and play something else.
It's either because the game is too similar these days, or because Fallout 4 is just a few days away and no game can hold my attention until it comes out.
No dedicated servers. Yep.
Now you know what it feels like to be a PC player and get shafted by a rubbish port, as it feels the same.
AAAAAAAAAnnnd it's still laughably broken.
SLI doesn't work, memory leak issue is still there etc.
WB will not get any money from me from now on.
The Order and EGTR are pretty rubbish to those of us with the decency to admit it.
Bloodborne is just Dark/Demon's Souls 2.5
DriveClub is just another Gran Turismo.
Until Dawn is arguably the only unique game there that is worth playing.
It's terrible news if true.
Nvidia and AMD's battle is what encourages great deals for customers and forces Nvidia and AMD to give better performance for your money with each new card, BENEFITING THE CONSUMER CONSTANTLY - something consoles don't do.
PC gaming is dying is it?
Yeah, we only have the biggest games in the world, making the most money and more money than the consoles could ever dream of.
PC gaming is stronger now than it ever has been, sales are higher than consoles, we have more exclusives (more than Xbox One, PS4, PS3, 360 and Wii U COMBINED - look it up before you pass that fact off as trolling), Steam is stronger than ever, OFFICIALLY the most-played games in the world are on PC (Dota 2, Starcraft 2, League of Legends).
Yeah, screw us right?
Who cares about Dota 2 and LoL as they're the same thing?
Who cares about Un...
"As long as the exclusives are fun"
Short list these days. Almost every game is just a copy of another.
And most "exclusives" boil down to early access or extra missions.
Console owners brag about their exclusives but the REALITY is that the list is pretty woefully small. Most games are multiplats, best played on the console you and your friends have, but best experience is on PC.
Hell even MGS:PP is fa...
You mean...reporting the truth and you cant handle it?
"I think most of the games stated by DF in the article aren't good examples"
Why cant console owners just accept that their hardware is the issue?
For god sake.
So...you don't see INSANE texture pop-in when on carriages or running, NPCs in strange locations like hovering, the FREQUENT FPS drops?
I'm on my PS4 and it's pretty dire, but nowhere near as bad as Unity.
The game looks far worse too, as they clearly had to scale back the textures so the consoles could cope. You could push through the issues on PC with better hardware and it ran far better, but still had NPC issues.
Have you played it?
Then shut up.
We could get a limited, smaller world for all we know (thanks consoles). I'm sure it'll be amazing but they've said the world is "as big as Skyrim's".
If it was bigger, we'd know by now, so this could be interpreted so many ways.
"As big as Skyrim" could mean a condensed, smaller map with the same "playing area" as Skyrim, ie more vertical sp...
No game can fill the void, I'm so bored waiting for it!
I may have to get Syndicate just to pass the time.
I hate the hypocrisy of console owners is all.
I'll get downvoted, probably banned again for a few weeks, but you lot are such pathetic hypocrites.
For years, with countless evidence, you've sat there saying we don't more than 30 FPS blah blah blah.
Then Uncharted 4 comes along and they were "aiming" for 60 FPS (which didn't happen, shock horror), and you were all praising ND and how 60 FPS is amazing and proves the ...
Judging by the map in streams, the game looks as big as Unity with less icons and collectibles.
There's no online now, so the performance is more stable if questionable at times, but nowhere near as bad as Unity's.
There's no app coming that we know of.
They've worked on Syndicate for longer so it seems more polished and "back to basics" as it were.
I don't know why a comment like this gets downvoted.
It's the truth, end of story. If devs could get 60FPS @1080p, they would. If the hardware struggles, they cant. It's been almost 2 years and we're seeing no change - games still run like crap. 30 FPS in 2015 with the hardware available on the market is 100% unacceptable.
One could argue bad engine coding for the game, but nobody has been successful in a big AAA game to get 60FPS consisten...
