PC players have said the downgrade would happen since day one.

We were right, AGAIN.

But cu-cu-consoles are so much cheaper, durrrrrr.

The V Logs from Konami are just small cuts of footage from E3/Gamescom etc trailers.

You're not seeing anything new here.

Most PC users don't want the vast majority of console exclusives anyway.

If we did, we'd have petitions. We did it with the Dark Souls series, and the games are best played there now - looks and runs better, and we're not reliant on PSN/Live to be working.

We didn't scream for Phantom Pain to come to PC, yet Kojima saw Steam for how incredible it is, and how strong the PC gaming community is, and decided yes, lets bring Metal Gear properly to...

Yeah because E3 always represents the final product, screenshots are never touched up to look amazing, and the game "definitely" wasn't running on a PC using a console controller.

Wake up.

Have you lot learnt NOTHING from E3?

Do I have to list all the games that were downgraded (because of console hardware) on or before launch?

The engine dictates what game can be created, what features can be added, how many NPCs are on the screen etc.

The engine is coded with the hardware in mind.

So yes, hardware, AND THEREFORE RESOLUTION, damn well affects what kind of games are created.

As a result, limited, lacklustre hardware means devs can only do so much with an engine, and therefore a game, whilst trying to get 30 FPS.

So yes, consoles are ruining gaming b...

I'm not.

Massive open worlds get boring fast if tasks are repetitive or lacking.

The game is too big, so there's no sense of "getting there" to the finish. "That's the point of the game though, there is no end". Then why am I playing?

I think the idea is cool, but the lack of info so far has me lost, and I think with the size and human nature combined, the game will get boring fast.

People ge...

PC series comes to consoles and gets ruined.

Interesting, if predictable.

Way to take Chivalry from the PC and put a AAA dev behind it, making it look better and play almost the same.

Got any original ideas?

This is jealousy of a PC exclusive.

Yeah I loved running around in a world with nothing to do outside of picking plants, hunting some animals and finding what, like, 10 pieces of treasure?

The world was empty as hell.

Even Skyrim felt kinda empty until you modded in extra patrols and more random battles to stumble across in the wild.

3843d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I love how you completely miss-read the info.

You take this %age to assume that most PC players aren't even playing at "console level".

Yeah, just ignore the higher-than-1080p figures as well.

And if we're playing at 1080p, we're not locked and limited to 30 FPS.

And there are plenty of arguments and proof to suggest that consoles are holding gaming back, when the devs themselves come out and say "w...

3843d ago 6 agree3 disagreeView comment

Yeah because after two years of "support" and "optimization", consoles are still only able to run at 1080p (and not always), and barely maintain 30 FPS (proven in many games so far).

Cut the crap, optimization is nothing if the hardware is lacking, and every game so far has proven it to be wanting.

3843d ago 7 agree5 disagreeView comment

28% play at 3840x1080, therefore over 50% of 125 million Steam users play at 1080p or HIGHER.

Whereas 100% of console users play at 1080p or lower.

And this survey also includes your everyday normal HD-intel CPU graphics users who can barely run Minecraft, like at work or on their £300 laptops.

Of course the numbers will be skewed.

Pfft.

Watch Dogs, Thief, Destiny, Arkham City, Halo 3, Evolve, AC Unity off the top of my head.

At the end of the day though, avoid the worst offending game websites.

Kotaku, Polygon, IGN, and Gamespot are more PR mouth pieces than anything else these days. Do not buy games at release, waiting just one week, JUST A WEEK, will give you a more reasoned evaluation of the game.

@Clown_Syndr0me

ESO wasn't made by Bethesda, it was made by ZeniMax Online Studios.

Bethesda didn't do New Vegas either.

Bethesda did Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Skyrim, all GOTY winners (I think Morrowind won a GOTY, cant remember).

Don't ever link ESO's quality to any other Elder Scrolls game - ESO is a pathetic attempt at WoW.

3845d ago 6 agree0 disagreeView comment

I hope we have to wait another 4-5 years to be honest.

Fallout 3, Oblivion and Skyrim were GOTY's 3 times in a row for a reason - they were in development for years.

When you focus a team on one game for years, you get a better game that sells far more than 3 or 4 annual games in the same period of development, AND you maintain customer loyalty (unlike Ubisoft and EA).

I mean come on, Skyrim sold something like 6 million copies JUST THROU...

How are people still thinking that E3 footage in ANY WAY reflects the final product?

Uncharted 4 has been downgraded visually, and now is confirmed to only run at 30 FPS, NOT 60 as you all said it would (based off no evidence or knowledge as usual around here).

Zero Dawn will 100% NEVER look "that good" at release, ever. And I wouldn't be surprised if that was running on a PC like a lot of E3 "console" reveals do.

WAK...

Stop buying console games then.

I have the same experience. The world is funnily enough too empty for me, and too big.

Which is why I think No Man's Sky will be a flop, because when a game is just too damn big, you lose interest fast as there's too much to explore and do.
