Like my entire 8 or 9 game PS4 collection the past 2 years then.
Whats that about PC gaming dying?
*looks at TLOU and Uncharted 2*
It has.
Phantom Pain has more GOTY awards than Bloodborne.
At least journalists see Bloodborne for what it really is - just Dark Souls with a new skin.
Didn't affect me either, considering I havent used my PS4 in months.
*sigh*
For god sake.
It's not just PS4 pushing SP games. Look at all the amazing SP games released on Steam lately.
Stop being such a fanboy.
Games are better SP for sure, but they dont last as long and will often get sold or traded in or whatever.
A decent MP will keep the money rolling in for a developer/publisher, and thats what they really care about.
If a game's MP is successful, the game's price stays high. CoD 4's price today is surprisingly high given how old it is, even on PC, and thats because many see it as the best CoD MP.
Games like this year's Tomb Ra...
Agreed.
The game's selling point is its' size - infinite number of planets to explore as it's all randomly generated, no planet is the same etc.
That, in reality, is just code for "we've got 20 types of trees that you'll have seen with the first few hours, but because it's randomly generated, you'll never see the same tree in the same place on a different planet."
It'll just be the same animations and...
So...a better ratio than all the PS4 games.
Does it fix the boring, repetitive combat, the broken loot system that gives you worse items per drop than you currently have, and the skill tree that basically doesn't change much to your play style?
"Best place to play the biggest games"
Err...no.
PC has the most-played games currently around, making them the biggest. Almost a million players daily on Dota 2, then there's League of Legends and Starcraft 2 where numbers are NOT tracked. Team Fortress 2 is always high up on the list.
Over 10,000 games on Steam. Less than 400 on PS4. Less than 300 on Xbox One. Roughly the same for Wii U.
Games run and loo...
CDKeys is a very sketchy practice and very hit-and-miss.
Steam keys are usually fine, not always, but usually.
Buy a key for Origin and UPlay though and expect it to be taken away from you without warning.
I bought Far Cry 4 from a cd key site and Ubisoft removed it without warning during the stolen-cd key debacle around Far Cry 4 when it came out.
Valve sent me an email saying that someone was questioning one of the games in...
If you think Fallout 4 on consoles will get half the amount of mods on PC, you're massively mistaken.
No way in hell will they run script extenders that are needed for like 90% of the mods on PC that will be shared with consoles.
You need root-system access and the ability to edit ini files to get the mods working - something consoles don let the users have.
And if Bethesda have installed a back door, it WILL be found and exploited by con...
That makes it almost 24 months in a row where I've though to myself "PS+ really isnt worth the cost."
PSN fails too often, none of the PS+ games ever have made me go "ooh, need to download that one."
Waste of £40 a year, as online should be free. End of story.
"Oh but you're paying for X, Y and Z."
So? Steam costs nothing per year and has integrated voice chat, better free games a...
Thats what they said last time, and look what we have.
Sub 1080p and barely 30 FPS in almost every game.
Next gen will target 60 FPS but barely maintain it.
The Order 1886 is short enough as it is.
"They dispatched 12 Million units to stores worldwide for launchday."
Yeah, doesn't mean the stores sold 12 million units. Bethesda made 750 million by selling to stores, not the public. The stores hold the debt and sell at a higher price to get rid of the stock.
This is why the sales figures are such a grey area - do you count sales to the retailer as red, or sales to customers?
And don't even bother counting physical PC ...
"and while it doesn't run amazingly smooth"
Understatement of the year.
It runs appallingly - FPS drops turn the game in to a slideshow and makes it unplayable especially when driving or flying fast, and the load times are completely unacceptable.
"Day one patch doh."
Just no. Rarely ever fix issues like that. You cant patch bad hardware.
Valve have NO reason at all to make Half Life 3.
It would be criticized beyond belief, it would HAVE to be mind-blowing.
The previous games came out before consoles ruined everything, and they were INCREDIBLE games that redefined gaming and set new bars in engine creation, story telling, animations, physics, pacing, everything.
HL2 is arguably the most important game of the 2000s, as every game since has been affected by it.
