"Sale".
Steam says Hi.
"Was £29.99. Now £3.47."
"Was £34.99, now £2.79"
THAT'S a sale.
"Cheaper with PS+". Well you've already paid £40 for that.
Yeah, amazing how a pre-rendered CGI cutscene runs at 60 FPS...
You posted this on N4G.
Nothing but naive, stubborn console gamers here.
I think they did a really good job.
I liked some things in GTA, and I like a lot of things in Watch Dogs.
GTA has more polish, Watch Dogs is buggy and doesn't run well.
"Oh you can't even shoot while driving herpa derp". Watch Dogs is a hacking game, so you hack streetlights, blockades etc to evade or stop people you're chasing.
Not every game has to have guns gun guns. Pathetic that this would be a re...
Still easily one of the greatest games of all time.
The alert (!) sound is like a symbol of my gaming childhood.
I remember fighting Psycho Mantis and being blown away that you had to switch from P1 to P2 to beat him.
It's not $60 on PC.
And we get the better version with better AI, draw distance, better animals etc.
Such a great game. Yeah it's bugged and needs a lot, a LOT of tweaks, but so what? It's in Alpha.
It's so fresh and unique.
And it's bloody terrifying.
Piracy happens on consoles too you idiot.
GTA 5 was available for 360 from Piratebay for like a week before release.
@Sevir
Such bollocks. The only reason it's good on the PS4 is because they added more textures, only to the console version, that make you think it looks better than the PC version.
Cut the crap. Tomb Raider didn't sell well, and was universally accepted as being "okay".
Suddenly it comes out on next-gen, with some new textures, and it's "amazing"?
Look at Infamous.
Okay graphics, nice effects, but dull gameplay, small map and nothing to do.
This generation is the sacrifice generation. Great graphics OR big world and better gameplay.
And graphics ultimately affect FPS, which affects gameplay.
60 FPS should be the minimum these days. All this talk about higher than 30 FPS ruining the aesthetic is such a load of bollocks.
I was really disappointed with Infamous.
Short story, super small map, terrible performance as the FPS was all over the place, the powers were all pointless once you got a certain one, and you don't even GET the last one until you've literally finished the game.
And as usual, there was nothing to do. The map was empty, and the collectibles were so pathetically pointed out on the map that it made me disgusted to be a gamer. Are console owners that la...
Apart from console gamers, that take every opportunity to show PC gamers how "close" or "better" their versions are.
When they are clearly wrong 100% of the time.
But early access with DayZ is "dumb" and "who would pay for that"?
I really hate calling myself a gamer when stuff like this happens.
It's like sites like N4G is just filled with ****ing childish morons.
No.
1080p 60 FPS should be the standard this gen. There is literally no excuse.
"60 FPS ruins the game's aesthetic" is quite possibly the dumbest argument ever made. It's code for "We couldn't get 60 FPS out of the PS4."
There is absolutely no reason for a game to be 30 FPS, other than rubbish hardware.
I don't give a flying ***k what console fans say, 30 FPS is unacceptable, 60 or bust. ...
MS bring TV to their new console, dumbest idea ever.
Sony bring TV to their new console, best idea ever.
Dumb-ass console gamers 1 - logic 0.
True, but good PC news is bad for "gamer" websites that make their money off console news.
Not a single "well known" website, like IGN or Gamespot or Eurogamer, mentioned that PAX East this year was 100% DOMINATED by PC games, blowing consoles out the water.
But nobody reported about it, because "nobody cares about PC gaming, it's dying", or whatever bullcrap console gamers come up with today.
Honestly, I seriously fail to believe this at all.
PC has a lot of graphical quality settings, making this statement completely rubbish or open for debate.
Planetside 2's engine is demanding. It's got nothing at all to do with optimization. You need a VERY beefy machine to get it to run on Ultra.
It's also incredibly CPU dependent.
Also, they haven't told us what kind of PC it can look better than. If they...
Err, an Alpha rarely ever, if ever, gets upgraded graphically in Beta and beyond.
And the proof is in almost every alpha ever.
It's like MS don't think when they make these adverts, or pay to have them made.
"Yeah, by the way, make sure nobody says any of the commands in the advert, otherwise it'll turn on all 5 of the consoles we sold."
But I guess it's a feature for the fat, lazy gamer so they have to make it look "advanced" to the un-knowning public.
Arkham Knight and Bloodbourne are the only ones that truly caught my eye.
I just have a massive feeling that all the other AAA games won't be or look as good on release.
