You still get jaggies at 1080p. Always have, regardless of PC or consoles.
AA is the only way to get rid of them, or bump up to 1440p and above.
And honestly, the only real difference I can see is the lack of white halo around the characters now.
As much as I've thrown a lot of console hate around lately, I have to confess I'm pretty well sold on Destiny.
While it is uninspired and just a mash up of Borderlands, Halo, Mass Effect and Diablo 3...I have to admit, it's a damn well polished, very well presented game.
The 30 FPS is inexcusable for 2014 though, as almost every popular gamer on Youtube has been pointing out, especially on the new consoles (why can't we have one at 30 FPS and ...
Sorry have you played U4? Or had a sneak preview we know nothing of?
Or are you just building hype for "agree" votes and making assumptions based on extremely limited knowledge?
I ditched "gaming" headsets about a year and a half ago.
I just bought a £10-or-so clip mic from Amazon that plugs into my PC's sound card, but then I made the best decision I could have made.
I didn't buy a gamer headset. I bought a proper set of headphones.
Specifically the Audio Technica AD700s. They're like £150.
They're super light, really comfy, but most importantly, they have the s...
Maise Williams? Sure, perfect choice; she's popular now, she looks far, FAR younger than she is. Ellie is supposed to 14 so it fits great, apart from the accent of course.
But...BRUCE CAMPBELL!?
....REALLY!? I mean you couldn't find a Hugh Jackman or someone similar?
@Highlife
Star Citizen and Crysis 3 look better than the CGI cutscene we saw.
Plus, you're basing your argument over non-gameplay footage.
Ridiculous example.
At least we've seen gameplay of games like Star Citizen.
And if Uncharted 4 was on PC, it would be better in every way anyway.
Congrats, you have 1, maybe 2 games I want to play on console over PC. Which is why I have my PS4. ...
And yet this was never said out loud when Uncharted 4 was revealed...funny that.
@Meltic
Agreed. Nobody should be buying this if they've already played it numerous times like me on the PS3.
The only reason they'd buy it is "grafix" and "60 FPS". Which goes against every debate console owners have saying they think 30 FPS is "perfectly fine", we "can't even see 60 FPS" etc.
Pretty sure it's not the most awarded in history.
It's not even the best rated. It's like the 40th best rated by critics.
And yet like last month it was recently reported that PC gaming hardware sales far outweigh console sales, and are on the rise more than ever.
Not really.
All I see is £50 for the new DLC and some slightly better textures.
I love TLOU but there's no way I would pay that amount for the same game, just for an FPS boost.
@akaFullMetal
Statistically over 6 years, PC is far cheaper.
From scratch you can build a far better PC capable of more than 60 FPS @ 1080p, monitor, case, mouse etc included, for around the £800-900 mark.
It's been done by Eurogamer.
Games are £20 on PC. £50 on consoles (well, £45).
At 10 games a year, that's £200 on PC, £450 on PS4.
6 year cycle? ...
Don't talk about PC on N4G.
The kids don't like hearing their console is rubbish.
No ***t.
30 FPS is a joke and a disgrace to gamers. For The Order devs to say "it's better", jog on you idiots. It's not better. No game is better at 30 FPS over 60 FPS.
What idiot thinks 30 FPS is better?
The only time 30 FPS is "acceptable" is when the devs can't get to 60 FPS and make up bull***t excuses, like it "ruins the aesthetic."
*sigh*
Once the hype of a new PS4 game dies down, you'll realize what PC players realized many many months ago: Planetside 2 gets boring, really fast.
If you hate shooters that force you through one passageway, like Metro in Battlefield for example, you will absolutely hate Planetside 2.
The world's map is a lie. You have to capture and hold key buildings, that only have maybe 2 or 3 entrances. Whoever gets in, wins.
This.
Alienware is Dell's "insane pricing" department and I seriously, SERIOUSLY cannot believe they're still in business.
"I could pay Alienware £1500+, or pay <£1000 for the exact same hardware, just a different, less "cool" case, and spend 2 hours building it."
I found GTA far more boring.
Story was jumping all over the place at times, not much mission variety, empty world as usual etc.
1920x800. 25% less pixels than 1920x1080.
The "cinematic FPS" is quite possibly the biggest load of crap I've heard in gaming.
This is nothing but "we couldn't make the game run faster than 30 FPS", and proves the PS4 lacks power. How do you compensate? Lower the resolution is the easiest method to get a better FPS.
There is absolutely no debating this.
But blind and arrogant console owners will...
We can't guys.
PC gaming is too expensive.
Only one zone per planet confirmed, and there's like 5 planets.
Confirmed over Twitch.
Pre-order cancelled. Not paying for yet ANOTHER gimped game because of old hardware.
