Killer Instinct Gold on N64 was $79.99 for me at EB back in 97 or something.

But just because that's true, doesn't mean I want more of that in the here and now.

What stuns me is how many folks are willing to roll right over for higher pricing without a word said. Not that I think people should be flipping their shit over video games. But why would you WANT to pay more for...anything?? It's not like gas, where you'll pay whatever it is because you need to get to work that day, no matter what. Or food, because obvious reasons.

Wages for us wage slaves have not kept pace with inflation (I haven't gotten even a cost of livi...

Don’t kid yourself man. It’ll be $70 plus all the same stuff we have today.

When I bought Killer Instinct Gold on N64, that cart was $79.99 at EB. Just a little history nugget there.

I don't doubt this a portent of things to come. People are right about gaming budgets skyrocketing because of larger teams and higher salaries and benefits for people in the industry. But I also don't think gamers should just be welcoming it with open arms. We should always, and I mean ALWAYS be bargain hunting and fighting for a lower price. Because, WHY NOT? ...

I spent months in those first 2 games.

They were incredibly engrossing, considering how new 3D was at the time. But that was 1995/6. I think they would have to substantially change them for them to not seem archaic by today's standards. We've had Elder Scrolls since then. Hell even The Ancient City, the PS2 chapter of the series, felt held back a bit by that design aesthetic.

But, even having said all of this, I would love to see the series get a ...

I remember when going digital was all about "passing on the savings to consumers". No discs, no boxes, no logistics. A golden age!

Hah.

I couldn't get through P5. I put 60 hours into it, drifted away from it, and restarted it months later, and just could not stay interested. And I really loved 3 and 4. :/

Tencent owns how much of Epic Games? And the world kept right on spinning.

You going to boycott anything made with Unreal? Good luck with that.

There are plenty of options still out there, boomer. The commies don't own it all.

Last I had read they were in trouble. Or at least GOG was. Had layoffs there. I admit I haven't looked into it in some months.

I think Eastern devs should work on Eastern IPs. When Team Silent was dissolved, and SH was handed to Western devs, it went to shit.
