My god, I was just having this conversation with one of my friends. Those countries are all top UN members, so there'd definitely be an interest in keeping an eye on them. It certainly paints the XB1 in a sinister light...

Of course Capcom would be courting Microsoft like this, they're the Japanese EA: money-hungry, abusive of their consumers and beating dead-horse franchises to the ground.

I wanna see Microsoft manage to sell ONE XB1 in Japan. By the time it comes out, Sony and Nintendo will leave absolutely no wiggle-room for it.

ARE YOU FRIGGIN' KIDDING ME?!?!

SERIOUSLY, WHAT THE FLYING F*CK, MICROSOFT?! WHAT ELSE??

Are the XBox Ones made by child laborers?? Do they solder the components with baby seal blood?? Is the operating system powered by the soul of a raped newborn??

JEEZ, it's like they're trying to nuke the entire company to the ground!! Is there some kind of bet going on here or something?!

And no one can say this is trolling, t...

Yeah, bring back a long-requested classic series without it being made by the original creators, charging you for the privilege to be able to use more than once character and making you pay for features that are staples of the series and were available in the game back when it was made 19 years ago.

Seriously, dude.

OOOOH, so Ultimate Combos and No Mercys, elements that have been in the franchise since its inception, will not be available the day the game comes out, might not even implemented into the game, and, if they are made available, might be DLC?!

Seriously, Microsoft, you're just deteriorating into straight-up cartoon villainy now.

4687d ago 11 agree5 disagreeView comment

EXACTLY, right on the money! For the price of one game you get loads of them for both PS4 and Vita, save on your future purchases through discounts and bundles, get access to a lot of DLC for free, play betas of upcoming games, 1-hour trial full games... The benefits are just so many. You really need to be severely blinded by fanboyism to not see how PS+ is superior to XBox Live in terms of sheer bang for your buck.

I understand that you might have apprehension on having to pay for multiplayer, that is honestly inevitable. But it's also inevitable that Sony adopt this model, since they need to be able to get some stable revenue to be able to offer such great value for your money. Charging for multiplayer is a way for them to compensate the low price of the system and the revenue needed to maintain the online infrastructure, and it's the option that offers the best balance between a good revenue f...

Nothing's been said of PS1/PS2 backward compatibility, but I seriously doubt that the games already available on PSN from those systems won't be playable on PS4 as well, even if the discs themselves aren't. PS3 backward comp is a no-go, because the PS3's drastically different chip architecture makes it unfeasible, but they already mentioned that PS3 games will eventually be available through Gaikai.

SMART. Sony understands that gamers value choice over everything else, and that we're adverse to being forced to do anything. Not only that, it also makes the Sony camera dodge the HORRIBLE stigma the Kinect has.

The retailer friendliness of the PS4 is a HUGE advantage Sony has. Taking business away from Gamestop, for example, will lead to Gamestop supporting the PS4 more, even if not being open about it. You'll begin to see many more exclusive promotions and DLC on PS4 than XB1, and the ability to actually be able to resell PS4 games means that the PS4 will be MUCH more visible in-store than XB1. After all, the wall space that would have been used to show used XB1 games will instead be used to sh...

Wasn't really necessary. After all, most gamers are seeing E3 online, so online was the best way to release the video. And come on, it's friggin' viral! We're talking about the gaming equivalent of Gangnam Style!

Hell, they should get Psy to make Oppa Sony Style.

4687d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

I don't mind paying for online because:
-I already have PS+, so to me it's irrelevant,
-Sony needs to do it to compensate revenue they're not getting from releasing the console that much cheaper, and
-they're actually giving us something in return.

XBox Live not only forced you to pay for online, but it also didn't reward you in any way for your investment. Hell, even the marketplace is a rip-off. You know what Microsoft points do? ...

I personally don't see PC gaming and console gaming as antagonistically as many people do. PC games will always have a niche because many staple genres of the platform are not represented heavily on consoles(4X, MMOs, MOBA), especially those which heavily depend on mouse and keyboard for optimum control, and the fact that a PC can also be a work tool and not just an entertainment platform basically makes the platform unkillable. However, consoles have a myriad of advantages over PC as wel...

I've got high hopes for Nintendo. If they can give us an impressive presentation for the Wii-U with loads of games and continued support for the 3DS, they can easily take the #2 spot from Microsoft and raise their stock. Just keeping the status quo still puts them massively over Microsoft, that's for sure.

Most Sony players already have PS+, so this is mostly a non-issue, and PS+ has already, for years, been a MUCH better value for the money than XBLive. I don't mind Sony taking measures to secure money when they're giving us SOOOOO much in exchange for our loyalty. PS+ offers Sony a way of revenue to counteract the insane value they're giving us with the system.

THANK YOU, Sony. I've been a loyal fan and customer for 18 years and you have rewarded me immensely ...

Not only is the price ridiculously steep for both Canada and Europe, but a huge part of the supposed big features of the system are useless/not available to European fans.

Microsoft just handed an ENTIRE CONTINENT to Sony!!

4689d ago 6 agree1 disagreeView comment

Okay, lemme give you a little exercise: the XB1 is priced at $499 American and 499 Euros, right? Well, if you convert 499 Euros, it's 658 AMERICAN.

Seriously, Europe, half the features are already useless to you, but they're also overcharging you 31% over what the price is in America!!
