I'm talking about the XBox One. And you're right, the Kinect was used for a lot of non-gaming applications, but it was on the same boat as the PS3 as a computing device. Advertising the XBox One as a business machine is a whole different beast.

Exactly. For the same price as a XB1 I can get a PC with a good software package, a webcam and MUCH MORE upgradeability. And why would I want to use Office Web Apps when I can use the ACTUAL MS Office on a PC without being nerfed for features or having to expose my documents to THE FRIGGIN' INTERNET where any hacker could easily poach them? That's a corporate security breach waiting to happen.

There's a huge difference: the PS3 was used for super computation but never advertised as such, it's just that the Cell was particularly good as a solution. Microsoft is actively trying to advertise the XB1 as a business machine when there's MUCH more useful alternatives for the same price. $499 can buy you a low-end PC that is nevertheless MUCH more flexible and business appropriate than an XBox One.

Plus, let's be realistic: if you walked into a small busine...

Soooooo they're trying to sucker small business owners into buying the XBox One as a business machine.

That is being REALLY FUCKING DESPERATE to sell your console at any cost.

The disconnect with players that led Nintendo to this bullshit statistic is the same disconnect that made them take Smash out of EVO and to churn out sequel after sequel without any fucking innovation. No wonder the Wii-U ain't selling worth crap.

Some people are gluttons for punishment.

I hate this asshole. This whole cryptic oracle bullshit is proof of how much of an ass he is. Instead of going right out and saying which game he refers to, he keeps it cryptic so people will speculate and he doesn't have to prove himself right.

And if it IS Destiny, well guess what, Cliff, a game doesn't need that many copies sold to break even anymore. That's what DLC, season passes and advertising campaigns are for. Oh, and a multiplatform game made by the crea...

The camera was never a focused-on feature ever since the console got announced. This is people grasping at straws trying to make Sony look on the same page as Microsoft to make Microsoft not look as bad. Anyone with two neurons to rub together can see this for the obvious PR schill it is.

How could someone ask this question in a year when games like The Last Of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider and Ni No Kuni and have come out?

4666d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Definitely. As much as I like The Witcher(and I LOVE The Witcher), Cyberpunk is going to be BEYOND epic. I just love Cyberpunk and the cyberpunk genre's themes and setting better.

I played both The Last Of Us and Bioshock Infinite back-to-back. I mean as literally as it's possible: I beat The Last Of Us and five minutes later I booted Bioshock Infinite. And I can honestly say that this is the most difficult decision for GOTY in the last decade. I'm leaning towards The Last Of Us, but that's because I prefer its more intimate, personal story over Bioshock Infinite's more epic scale, but I can easily agree with people who give it to BI. It's seriously...

"Who cares if they are rentals anyway? The amount of content connected to the subscription increases every month, so every month the subscription becomes more valuable. Why would you unsubscribe? "

EXACTLY. As long as you check the game as "purchased" on PSN, the game will always be available for download as long as your PS+ subscription is active. You just need to, once a month, make sure you check the games and your library continues to grow and grow for...

I see no problem with this. Two completely different games are perfect for two completely different reasons, and there's nothing wrong with that. I played the original Animal Crossing, and I found it an engrossing, cute and massively entertaining game. If the newest iteration fixes the minor complaints I had with the previous one and adds more features and content, it does deserve a perfect score.

Would I say they're equally as good? Doubt it. But judged on the terms ...

I think Sony should bring back many franchises that they have neglected for a while. Syphon Filter, Parappa The Rapper, Jet Moto, Medievil, Ape Escape, Hot Shots Golf... Oh, and make a new, more expansive version of MAG!

And this is only wishful thinking, but if I could have any Sony game, I'd have a sequel to Folklore. What an underrated gem that game was.

Keep in mind that Japanese gamers tend to be VERY critical and adverse to Western games. Western games usually have to be in that "sweet spot" that caters to Japanese tastes for them to be successful. The runaway success of The Last Of Us there is testament to not only the excellence of the game, but its universality.

Kudos, Naughty Dog, you really might just have crafted the finest game of the generation and a benchmark for interactive storytelling. I'm persona...

This, more than any other reason, is why I think Sony will dominate this console generation. They're committed to getting the console in the hands of more gamers worldwide than Microsoft is, and that is winning them a lot of good will amongst the world gaming community. Specifically, Microsoft taking their time on the Asian market is a HUGE mistake. By the time they get to Japan, Sony will already be firmly rooted there as the console of choice, and South Korea, with their love for online...

So according to him, XB1's gonna be the higher-priced console throughout the Christmas season and lower the price after PS4's kicked it's ass all around the curb already? That'd be too late, I'd wager.
