This is exactly what I said would happen. By making the reveal on PSX, they're basically controlling the narrarive on the PS5's release, smart. By skipping E3, they're also probably prepping one final PS4 showcase with new exclusives announced for the last stretch the system will have before the PS5's launch. Basically, PSX will be PS4's last hurrah before the PS5 launch.

Although Yakuza 0 is the prequel, Yakuza Kiwami is the remake of the first game, so it works great as a jumping-in point too. Yakuza Kiwami is the one that has story that continues through other games.
But yeah, DEFINITELY give Yakuza Kiwami a go. The Yakuza series is spectacular, and Kazuma Kiryu has to be my favorite videogane protagonist of all time.
Even though I already have Kiwami, I'm so glad it's this month's free game. Since it's a remake of Yakuza 1, it's as great a jumping-in point as Yakuza 0, and the more exposure the Yakuza series gets the better. Everyone owes it to themselves to play a Yakuza game.
I'm not the kind of guy that has the SJW kneejerk reflex of getting offended at everything, but I do think this was in poor taste. Not to the point that they heed to BOYCOTT GOG, though, I think an apology is sufficient in this case.

There we go again, XBox fanboys parroting the XB1's great media capability. WHO CARES. A gaming consoles primary function is GAMES, and the XB1 family is doing AWFUL this gen in terms of games. I have my PC for any media function I could ever need, and even the cheapest PC handles media WAY better than the XB1. Does the XB1 handle media better than the PS4? Yeah. Is it a system-selling feature? Well, according to the sales figures, NOPE.
Damn, I hope this review is accurate, cause I LOVE D20/3.5, and Pathfinder is boss. I have pretty much every Pathfinder book published and a metric shitton of D20/3.5 books, so a game that translates the rules perfectly is something right up my alley.
For the same price, you can get an OG PS4, possibly a bundle. So no.

And instead of getting one hour to spotlight it and the upcoming last run of PS4 exclusives, they'll have a whole conference. I expect PSX to blow everything at E3 out of the goddamn water.
