I think Dragon's Dogma 2 is a good bet. The game being ported to Switch (which I think is a fantastic idea) plus the recently announced DD anime for Netflix are very good signs that Capcom is not sitting idle on the franchise.
I don't really dig into fighting games anymore (and for the record, I think SF4 is way better than SF5), so I don't think that can be put as much of a knock against them. Only one iffy game this gen compared to the embarrassment of riches we've received otherwise is forgivable. Monster Hunter World alone is the polar opposite of SF5 in terms of value. The amount of content and value that game has while just asking for the price of admission is staggering.
I haven't played it, but from what I've read and impressions from my friends, The Division 2 is a genuine improvement over the first one, and the first one was much improved after patching. But neither Division 1 and 2 nor Destiny 1 and 2 were as undercooked at launch as Anthem.
Thank you for making all the sense.
Dude, you must be my long lost brother, cause I got Dragon's Dogma again too, lol. And yeah, Capcom's been on a tear lately. Can't wait for Iceborne :)
Update: Sekiro is crushing it in reviews and this guy looks even more like a complete moron.
What we want to see: an actual Borderlands game.
What we'll actually see: Destiny/Division/Anthem GaaS looter shooter garbagio.
You must feel lonely, being so wrong all the time.
Making this article look stupid:
-The guy is comparing Bloodborne's atmosphere and lore to Sekiro's saying Bloodborne's is better. How the hell would he come to that conclusion when we're barely aware of what Sekiro's story is about and we haven't seen the most out-there elements yet.
-The guy is praising Bloodborne's combat as intense and in your face when we've already seen videos explaining Sekiro's fighting system and it's even MOR...
Uh huh. Sales in the US are not predominantly XBox, either.
How the heck is this in any way accurate when the sales numbers for the PS4 are ECLIPSING the XB1? If this was in any way accurate, the entire map would be black, with maybe a couple of red or blue spots.
The one thing that'd make me buy the Castlevania Collection day 1 is if they include the PS2 games. Lament of Innocence and Curse of Darkness are THE most criminally underrated entries in the series.
This is a more reasonable statement than the people saying that Stadia is gonna kill the consoles.
Still wrong, but more reasonable.
Here's a crazy idea: Sega should get in on the VR game. Imagine new Playstation VR versions of Virtual-On, Virtua Cop or House of The Dead.
You don't really need to ask for it. Atlus's side is doing damn well. Sega's side is the one that, other than Yakuza Studio, is not doing well. And yeah, it's precisely cause they're sitting with their thumbs up their asses while Sega has an EMBARRASSMENT OF RICHES in terms of IPs they could be exploiting.
I'm going to assume the one dislike I got is Christian Weston Chandler.
What I wanna see:
Shinobi/Shadow Dancer
Altered Beast
Golden Axe
Phantasy Star
Alexx Kidd
E-SWAT
Binary Domain 2
Vanquish 2
Gunstar Heroes
Alien Soldier
Virtua Fighter
Last Bronx
Fighting Vipers
Burning Rangers
Nights
Skies of Arcadia
What I don't wanna see:
SONIC. FUCK SONIC.
I live in Puerto Rico. Here, Stadia would be 100% UNSUSTAINABLE. No internet provider here is fast enough and we have constant problems with weather-related failures. The US is no different. Yeah, if you live in Manhattan, you're probably good to go. But what about someone who likes in bumfuck Alabama? Or who lives in the projects? We simply don't have enough universally good bandwidth to support a streaming-only system. Playstation Now's been around for a while already, and it st...
I could not be happier :) DD is my favorite game of the previous generation, as I've said countless times in this very forum. That Capcom is licensing the game for an anime adaptation bodes well for their interest in keeping the brand in people's radar and the release of a sequel.
If it hadn't been for God of War and Read Dead Redemption 2 hogging all the awards, last year Monster Hunter World would have won GOTY comfortably. And it's DEFINITELY the best coop game of last year up to now. Other loot-based coop games like Destiny and Anthem are just embarrassing compared to MHW's scale and value.
