The launch library will include every game on the PS4, which makes it an appealing purchase. I could see some players waiting for the PS5 to come out to buy games like Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima as their first purchases, opting to play them in the more powerful hardware.
Exactly. Not to mention that the PS5 will have full-featured native backward compatibility with upscaling. The PS4 didn't have backward comp and had to stand on its own based on its launch library, while the PS5 already comes right out of the gate with the best library of the current generation. That makes that $500 price tag a lot less painful. Just being able to play your existing games in more powerful hardware is a good start.

Um, no. Gearbox hasn't had a true hit in years, and they're desperate to go black with BL3. Expect it to be monetized to shit and be more of the same looter shooter garbage the genre has become. I have zero faith in this game, and I was a HUGE fan of the Borderlands series.

Wow. I'm a Playstation gamer, and I will readiy admit, that's a HELL of a lineup for Gamepass. Monster Hunter World alone is a hell of an attractive game, especially with Iceborne coming out this year.
I only approve of an easy mode if it's as insulting as humanly possible to the player. I mean lock the ending to normal mode, change sound effects to clown horns, make the main character dress like Dr. Frankenfurter and change the music to elevator jingles. Basically, make it hilariously awful so that players with actual balls will still get something out of it by taking the piss out of it and streaming it for laughs.

Agreed. Sony is in a position right now in which they can offer us "the same, but more" and they'll have a winning gen. Meanwhile, Microsoft has an uphill battle to win back all the consumers they lost to Sony this gen. They need dynamite exclusives, value services, solid hardware and innovation.
