In reality to build a system that beats the ps5 pro you only need to spend around $1500, that gets you something with a 4070super (which has AI upscaling tech that's proven) and has great performance, and a CPU that's faster than the PS5pro. I know it's still double, but it just shows how little people know about hardware in general. You'd be surprised what you can get.
Yes...it will cost more the a ps5 pro. Just not triple.
That new GPU seems to show it can run a lot of PS4 remasters, and years old titles really well. How about something that struggled to perform initially? Wouldn't you want to show that? I don't remember hearing a single person complain about the visuals in any of those games shown at the presentation.
Then you'll actually get the best version of GTA6. I mean they've been absolutely milking GTA V since it's OG release in 2013. You can bet it'll be a talking point of the PS6 with a "remastered" version laying in the wings.
@VariantAEC If you build a PC that will be outdated in a year you did it absolutely wrong lol A lot of the hardware inside of a ps5 can be competed with hardware from 4 years ago (comparable with a 3080). The PS5 pro will be outdated in 3 years and then you'll get another generation of cross gen support that limits your hardware to begin with...again.
I wish Sony would release some true next generation hardware like they were able to with the PS2. The leap from 1 to...
your not getting one for 700 either lol
I've shown several builds that put the price point at around $800 dollars which is what the total would be. If you wanted the ps5 pro & disc drive (since console players are going to die on that hill) You can add another 70 if you want a second controller. So in if you want that disk drive & another controller you need to add another 150 to the total making it $850.
Nobody comments on the system, but rather on how I've added the cost of a controller and ...
What a C**T thing to say. I hope life brings you much struggle in the future. Illness too. Hopefully something that takes you quick.
MY ARMOR IS CONTEMP. MY SHIELD IS DISGUST. MY SWORD IS HATRED. IN THE EMPERORS NAME LET NONE SURVIVE!
@derek Ok. So you'll only play solo. No friends around. Got it. I've never had a console with less than 2 controllers lol.
Console gamers bemoan, whine, and cry at the mere mention of digital only. That is undeniable. It's one of the main reason console gamers say it's better. So I went and added that because it seems so important & absolute heresy if it's not.
Your ignorance was shown when you said that nobody games on PC l...
Out of curiosity If you have that strong of a PC why don't you just run an HDMI to your TV? You can use your controller as a mouse through steam. I repurposed my dining room into a work area since we never use it, and the space just went to waste. So i bought a 8k high speed 30ft HDMI cable for $20 and have no issues.
One major con for PC is this, and it truly is a major benefit to console gamers. Wire management becomes a pain in the ass.
An...
it's almost 2025. 4k has been around how long? Still can't get the sweet spot of 4k 60fps on consoles. I thought that was going to be a selling point of the PS5 in general.
How much was the TV?
When people criticize price they are all called broke losers who just can't afford it....Which to me sounds like the talk of spoiled affluent children, and adults with ego issues.
Nobody is forcing anything. You just have a subset of PC gamers who see it for what it is. So I think folks who have knowledge of hardware & corresponding prices saw this & scoffed. If it's anything like the ps4 pro's performance upgrade it's not worth it.
Same here. Trusty i7-8700 & 3080 still killing 1440p.
ps5 pro - $700
dual shock controller - 70
disk drive - 80
stand - 30
That's 880 before tax. The value just isn't there.
Also. How did helldivers 2 sell more on PC than it did on ps5 if nobody uses their PC to game anymore lol.
PC has around 120 million steam users, and you can check the majority of players system specs and you'll see that these builds aren't over 2k.
PS5 ...
The PS4 pro was enough for me to realize that consoles are always going to dupe people in terms of their actual performance. PS3 was more expensive, but was rarely able to match performance from the 360 in 3rd party games. 1st party on ps3 was impressive though.
No. The numbers they tested were from Doom Eternal. which came out at the roughly the same time as the 3080 way back in 2020. The 3080 was marginally better, but again. 4 year old card vs brand new $700 console. I get why console only players think they are getting a great deal. This would be true if this console was the OG ps5 at launch for $500.
If consoles are going to cost this much you may as well invest in something a little more expensive, and get something you can get superior performance. Out of.
You DO NOT need to buy the most expensive or new components to build a very solid gaming PC. Just facts.
