Honestly. The best fix for performance issues is to purchase Lossless Scaling. I was skeptical of it, but it works better than FSR framge gen in my opinion. I'm able to crank everything to epic (no rtx) on a 3080, i7-8700, 32gb ram. 30fps with frame gen to 90fps. Yes. It's not as smooth with a base frame rate of 30fps, but it's certainly more playable and without stutter.
I was skeptical of Lossless Scaling, but for 6.99 you get a great piece of software...
Every test is done with a 4090. Wish some of these sites would test using the recommended specs.
OS: 64-bit Windows 10/11
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X/Intel i7-10700K
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: Graphics: AMD RX 6800 XT/Nvidia RTX 3080
Storage: 75 GB
Not some beast box with a 4090 that only a small percentage of PC gamers use. My system is right around those specs. I7-8700 being the only weak spot. I've been able ...
With a 4090 you don't need frame generation yet. Probably a few years before you won't be able to brute force games.
It's really only there to improve gamers who hold a steady 60fps with lower spec hardware. It'd obviously be most beneficial for somebody with a 4060 or equivalent.
As a owner of a 3080 being able to mod in AMD frame gen has been great about 80% of the time. Some games have issues, most have none. It works well enoug...
My steam backlog is absurd. So anytime I run into a significant road block I start up something else. Then the cycle repeats itself.
Legit maybe 1 or 2 mouse clicks. Change to borderless desktop. That's it.
Hell. I'm running a 3080 and don't feel the need to upgrade. I'm still getting very, very good performance at 1440p.
Right there with you on this one.
That 4080 super is going to last you a long time. Years, and years. I'm running a 3080 (10gb) and it's still kicking ass. I don't game at 4k as 1440p the the sweet spot for performance and quality.
The thing about PC gaming is that new hardware will always be coming out. You've got a very good card that's going to hold up for a long time. Next year another good card will come out. So on and so forth. I built my pc right before the next gen i9 cp...
Imagine the amount of bugs and performance issues unreal 5 would give the developers. They can't even push out a smooth game from the start on an engine they've been using forever lol.
I wouldn't say Raytracing is overrated. It's just too expensive to have hardware to run it well.
Maybe just let the A.I. build the entire game. It's copy and paste anyway.
Kind of what happens when you don't release multiple games every year. I'm glad to hear the Witcher remake is in full production. Original aged like milk.
Was just going to say I'm 100% positive that Gamepass is why this is topping the charts. Literally the only reason I bought the game pass was so I could try it. Not enjoying the "omni movement" as I'm not a fan of people just sliding and jumping around.
That is a correct statement. Had this fixed and running smooth well over a month ago. Keep waiting for the pro patch to fix the pro patch.
PC doesn't need to smear the PS5. It's will always be the superior platform for every game available. Facts are not smear campaigns. Jealousy shines though clear lol.
@BathyJ This was meant to be sarcastic. The dude was bragging that money is no object. Told him to buy the most expensive stuff on the market if he's balling so hard. Read. Between. The. Lines.
I don't care what you play on. If I did I wouldn't be on a Sony biased website.
You can't explain PC to console fan boys. They don't want to believe somebody other than Sony can create something new.
It would have been fine had the game not been called "Dragon Age"
Dragon Age has a certain tone, and seriousness to it. Plus it's always had pretty good voice acting. Between the graphics, poor writing, and little player agency in terms of choice it legit deserves all its criticism it's getting despite it being highly rated.
actually an extra 300 since it's an all digital console.
Or if the game is a success we could get an Max Payne 4. I'd love a remaster / remake of MP3 too.
