Who cares. Sign into the free PSN account and go about your business. It'll take more time to mod it out than to just sign up. Having owned a playstation before it wasn't a big deal. Just had to remember my password.
"when you are showing your most powerful system (PS5 Pro) using a last generation game (TLOU2) something is very very wrong."
This 100%. Doesn't exactly build confidence in the performance of a machine that can't even be advertised as playing something new. Just older...but better lol.
We were told that we get better bleacher resolution in Ratchet and Clank, and that The Last of Us 2 Remaster look really, really, good now. This is from the reveal...the absolute weakest reveal ever.
Is the demo supposed to be buggy on a 3080? I've had no issue at all.
A point I'd like to make is that Horizon Zero Dawn is still an incredible looking game. I played on PC, so I can't say how much fidelity I had over the PS4 pro / PS5 version other than a higher frame rate, but still. At least wait for the game to be looked at more nostalgically before "remastering" it. The 3rd game has been confirmed to be in development. They should do what they did with the Uncharted Series. Hype up all individual releases, then compile them into a col...
100% agree. This is so freaking stupid. Between social media, steaming television services, Windows, Steam, uber, door dash, nexus mods, or whatever else. PC gamers for whatever reason have chosen this as their hill to die on because Sony is evil? Did any PC gamer ever own a ps3, or a ps4. If so you already have one. Seriously, what is the big deal here?
how dare developers use new technology to make better looking games. AI upscaling is the future. Brute force computing is beginning to have diminishing returns.
Yes. The difference between high to ultra is so minimal that it's hard to tell why your losing performance.
Well....it's the only new console even being mentioned. So yeah. It probably will be.
This game is optimized incredibly well. I'm using an 17-8700 & 3080 (10gb). I'm getting 120-144 fps with everything on Ultra @ 1440p. DLSS set to quality, with AMD frame gen on. Never had a chance to play on the Playstation. Played the OG on PC and told myself I was getting this day 1. Not disappointed.
A lot of console only gamers don't realize we have access to damn near every game that's existed via emulation. and a cheap disk drive can be used to rip ISO files off of games themselves to have digital copies. Wouldn't have to buy an $80 dollar drive either.
You also have people buying 4060's @ $299....cheaper than a base ps5. It's not like the top tier cards are the only ones that exist. The grand majority of PC gamers aren't loading their systems with the beefiest of video cards. Folks that do own 4080's or the monster 4090 will not need to upgrade for a very, very long time.
@MARKDN He's not wrong.
The folks defending this price are idiots. Simple as that.
lol. What a steal!
In reality to build a system that beats the ps5 pro you only need to spend around $1500, that gets you something with a 4070super (which has AI upscaling tech that's proven) and has great performance, and a CPU that's faster than the PS5pro. I know it's still double, but it just shows how little people know about hardware in general. You'd be surprised what you can get.
Yes...it will cost more the a ps5 pro. Just not triple.
That new GPU seems to show it can run a lot of PS4 remasters, and years old titles really well. How about something that struggled to perform initially? Wouldn't you want to show that? I don't remember hearing a single person complain about the visuals in any of those games shown at the presentation.
Then you'll actually get the best version of GTA6. I mean they've been absolutely milking GTA V since it's OG release in 2013. You can bet it'll be a talking point of the PS6 with a "remastered" version laying in the wings.
@VariantAEC If you build a PC that will be outdated in a year you did it absolutely wrong lol A lot of the hardware inside of a ps5 can be competed with hardware from 4 years ago (comparable with a 3080). The PS5 pro will be outdated in 3 years and then you'll get another generation of cross gen support that limits your hardware to begin with...again.
I wish Sony would release some true next generation hardware like they were able to with the PS2. The leap from 1 to...
i7-8700, 3080(10gb), and 32gb of 3200mghz ram. at 1440p I'm getting over 100fps with dlss quality and frame gen on with all settings on ultra. 4k is easy to get 60fps on my old rig moving to high settings and dlss balanced. I've heard some people have had bad luck, but this ran perfectly for me on the first boot.
