It cost the same today to build the same quality pc I did in 2017. 2,500 still builds a beast that lasts forever. I find the value in it's performance and function over consoles. Not to mention the saving year over year without the need to be on some gamepass, or playstation subscription. Adds up.
If a ps5 pro costs 800 or so. I much rather just save for a lil longer and get the pc with the specs exactly to what I desire.
LOL. I updated my 1080ti to a 3080 for $300 in a part swap. that was in late 2020. I'm still crushing games at higher frame rates lol. Bought the PC in late 2017 with an i7-8700 cpu. Still. Going. Strong. Maybe upgrade next year or around the decade mark.
In the meantime I'll play every game imaginable via emulation, and new releases as they come.
This makes zero sense and will make it very niche. What's the point of owning one of these if you have a pc that can run a cable from your video card to your tv? Seems redundant and without purpose at that point.
Houston, TX. I play at all hours, and I don't think I've ever run into a lobby of bots. Only place I've seen them is in the community experiences portal.
It's called making a product that is viable across the spectrum of hardware available and widely accepted. Owners of cards that are over 1k are quite the minority, and many cards still widely used simply don't support ray tracing, or aren't powerful enough utilize it in new games.
Battlefield 6 is a treat with it's day one excellent performance, and outstanding visuals that scale very well for lower end hardware.
I agree. Only in the case of Multi-player though. The input lag plus performance drop is too significant. Solo games I'll use frame generation without hesitation. I mod amd fsr frame gen into most supporting games) Lossless scaling is a great tool as well. Everything has it's place.
It's because all the COD converts play like bots. Run, shoot, die. Repeat. No playing the objectives.
I honestly never thought I'd see a AAA multiplayer game launch go this smooth. My PC falls between the recommended and minimum requirement's. Game blazes at 1440p and proves games can look exceptional still without RTX.
Finally. A new Battlefield game that is actually going to keep me coming back. Can't wait to see what else can be developed in the portal. 2042 had some great stuff.
The average PC gamer isn't playing with a 4090...
(cod)Fans want EA to tank the performance, add battlepasses, and add stupid weapon & character skins because streamers say "they don't know why they are playing."
This game does not need RTX. When I firsted booted in I said. "damn, this looks really good, and plays extremely well." i7-8700, 32gb ram, 3080(10gb). Getting 90fps with very small dips @ 1440p with some high & ultra settings. At least on PC we'll be able to toggle it off....
My i7-8700, 32gb ram, and 3080(10gb) are absolutely slaying this game at high settings with dlss quaity. Rarely dipping below 90fps @ 1440p. The most optimized AAA release in a long time, and easily the smoothest Battlefield release at launch. Loving it. Very surprised and maybe the only game I felt pleased with paying the steeper entry fee in the end.
The draw of Battlefield has always been multi-player. I wouldn't have cared if their wasn't a campaign. I didn't even know their was going to be one. Played the multiplayer beta and instantly pre-ordered.
And that is why I've cancelled my subscription and have deleted the xbox app from my PC. Also the impending price hike...
Gamepass used to be a good value.
Well it's a common theme among nearly all UE5 games from developers across the board. Maybe the engine was released ahead a generation of hardware that can actually effectively utilize it.
My hope for the new Witcher have been dashed since I read it was moved over to UE5.
What does anything "woke" have to do with PC hardware?
Cool. Don't use your card to it fullest. Get ready for up scaling and frame generation for rest of you're pc gaming life. The tech isn't going away. AI isn't going away. It's going to be leveraged into everything.
And what version of DLSS and Frame Gen is everyone using that makes it look like crap? DLSS has improved immensely. FSR not as much. Even then I'll use a AMD frame generation mod w/ dlss. Or lossless FG. To each their own, but my...
"I doN'T WaNNa USE dLSS or FrAme Gen"
What the hell did you purchase these cards for? Seriously. It's literally the most advertised aspect of the cards this generation, and the largest advantage.
I'm a PC gamer and give me all the goods. It's evolving technology. It's why we buy new stuff. Plus DLSS is constantly getting better. Performance used to look absolutely awful. Now....completely different story.
Game known for it's antagonists in cool open world environments shifts to focusing on it's crap multiplayer. Does Ubisoft just like to F up?
Cyberpunk has been tuned up since before they released the expansion. These latest updates were icing on the cake, and were unexpected. Game is great. I've completed it twice. Will do a 3rd run eventually.
You no longer need to wait. Dive in.
You are missing absolutely nothing with Doom: The Dark Ages. Bought and paid for reviews. Game is mid as hell.
