Didnt Valve say more content for L4D is coming?
Is the company INCAPABLE of doing more than one project at once??
I grew up with these movies and I may very well own this one,but not for 60 bucks.
I'll pick it up after the first price drop or two.
When it comes down to it,all I really got from E3 was a possible interest in Natal,L4D2 anouncement(that I will own!!!!),and maybe i'll be buying another Halo or Crackdown down the road.
Everything else of interest I already new about like Bioshock 2,Alan Wake and other games.
Looks like they have improved on alot. Giving me more content this go round is great, considering how much replay ive enjoyed from the original. Knowing what the first was all about and seeing the video of the L4D2 gameplay has already made me a buyer.
Is there any vids out showing weps other than the small machine gun and pistols?
Always been a Shotgun fan in L4D....
Walking around a Best Buy today, I walked past the aisle that had a $170 game that still requires a console purchase to play....and the setup isnt good for anything else but this game, sequels and expansions for it..
So I dont find it hard to believe for a second that people would pay "Rock Band prices" for a gadget that allows voice activated/motion control for games and system use/navigation. Seems like more potential "value" to me than a big box of plastic joysti...
Theres been talk for years about one box in the living room handling ALL your entertainment needs. Sony and MS are both trying to achieve this (taking different paths from each other at times). Twitter, movies on demand,Blu ray....etc
Natal could be one step closer to this goal IMO.
Or it could be the next Virtual Boy.
I dont care so much for the fluffy non game features like twitter, but I understand how it can increase hardware sales and broaden the audie...
I work at a Nissan dealer.
Did you know our Nissan Cube sales have rose by hundreds of percent versus last year?
Nevermind that you couldnt buy one here untill last month......
As previously stated..yeah that monitor is huge!
I wouldnt be able to see the whole screen comfortably sitting that close.
But anyway,im happy theres girl gamers out there. My wife plays Chuzzles on her laptop but thats about it.
It was nice to play L4D and quite often a female would be playing along with us.Thought that was cool.
A paticular MMO I play has tons of girls in it.
The game is pretty.Even if thats as good as the PS3 gets,so what???
That was the first thought in my head too Rowsdower. How do presales increase 500% with somthing that was just officially anounced this week?
And what are the preorder numbers exactly?
I agree 7th Night..I remember all the PS2 is maxed out chatter. And then titles like RE4 came out.
Both the PS3 and Xbox have already put out some impressive LOOKING games to me.
I like eye candy like the next guy but im not a graphics whore. Give me gameplay/games first then make it pretty.
The PS2 didnt rise to dominance by being a graphical powerhouse.
The original NES beat out systems that had alot more under the hood as did the Atari 2600. Speaking of Atari, how did their Jaguar which was the first 64 bit system fare when the competition was all 32???
Who paid $60 for it? I bought it soon after it came out for $50 on the 360 and found it on sale the same day for $40 for PC (bought it for Xmas gift for Brother in Law).
If the game was THAT bad, short,or whatever, it would be in the Xbox 12 dollar bargain bin by January.
Personally im buying Valves excuse, but id rather have a "new" game anyway and the improvements seem legit and well beyond a few patches.
The content and new game mode I got with L4D is OK,but I...
Technology just has to reach a point before a new whatever can be realized.....at a price point the consumer can handle.
Its like the cylinder activation on alot of newer cars for better gas mileage.Cadillac did it in the early 80s with a engine...and it failed horribly.Unreliable junk. They did it first, but so what??
Its reliable and several makes use it today.
And whose to say MS wont have a simple controller that serves to hold a few "fire" buttons?
No denying that the Wii has some games that appeal to a "hardcore" market.
But a trip to my local game store in the Nintendo department looks like Pokemon/My Little Pony central IMO.
Its all about the perception.....
Well their sales are showing they dont need the hardcore gamer.
Nothing wrong with catering to a niche.
That being said, theres no Wii in my house.
My 20+ year old NES is still in my spare room closet though.
If its coming to PC, why WOULDNT you offer a Xbox version?
Easy to port over in comparison right?
I saw these vids on IGN earlier this week. Im excited!
"want more of our money" "fairness"..blahhh
Its a business.Valve is not a charitable organization.
Of course they want your money. So what?
Now "fairness"?
Its their decision which platform gets what. If Valve feels its not "economically viable" to write the game for PS3 then so be it.
They shouldnt go into the hole just to be "fair" IMO.
Want to say they made a bad business decision in your opinion? T...
Dont see a story here.
Im in the car biz and read up/check out other makes. Why? For competitive purposes sure, but also curiosity.
