THE LAST 2 YEARS BEFORE THE launch of the wii u was one huge software drought- They released Skyward Sword and Kirby return to Dreamland as the only 2 games of note that i remember (and we can thank Operation Rainfall for the other limited releases you are referring to) and 1.5 good games over 2 plus years doesn t count as support unless you are one of the people that think Nintendo did a good job supporting the Wii u launch year... so yea....

Nintendo always says that then promptly drops support- I hope they do contine support for the wii u but considering what they released for the Holidays this year - it looks like quality software for the wii u will be in short supply after the already announced games are released
Nintendo always says they are going to continue to support the old console then do the opposite- they dropped support of the Wii to almost nothing a year or 2 before the Wii U was released and they sold 100 million - they are already dropping support of the Wii U now- look at the holiday lineup-
