Yeah, he admits he enjoys some of the games he plays, but it isn't really entertaining in his videos to be full of praise. He's going to nitpick and find all the little faults.
Videogame reviewers used to point out faults all the time, just like any other critic of media. But in the last decade or so, videogame reviewers have become too soft.
Maybe I'm misremembering this, but wasn't there an article a week or two ago about comments from someone with Gearbox saying that if reviewers don't like they game, that they'd be dealt with?
I'm guessing VI for a handheld. I'm actually surprised it hadn't been done by now after IV and V were made.
Reading that article makes my head hurt.
Contrast is one thing, but the texture on the first pillar on the right side for the 360 looks way better than the PS3 version.
I'm still getting it for PS3 though. Don't really want to deal with 3 discs.
June 17th is in the Fall?
Good. It's been quite a long time since I bought anything and now it looks like I'll be getting stuff 2 weeks in a row (as long as PSN comes back). A few tracks scattered here and there I'll pick up as well.
It's called The Device Has Been Modified v2 by Victims of Science

I kinda like it.
"On more than one occasion in the game it took longer to load the level than to get through it."
Lost any credibility the article could have mustered pretty early on. What a load of crap.
If I'm reading it right, they've reached the goal on 7 of the 13 games and there's still 15 and a half hours left. That would put release at 3AM Central. Wasn't the original Steam release supposed to be at like 9 or 10 AM? Only knocking off an hour each time seems rather weak.
I saw the article over the weekend suggesting that no one loses with this promotion (Valve gets sales, indie devs get publicity, gamers get Portal 2 released early), but if releas...
So pretty much the same thing they've been saying for months.
I'm guessing early PC release.
Diving Bell... Somehow related to the Borealis?
It's neat they're doing a comic, but I wish they didn't include those sample images. They talk about a rumored character, but then most of the stuff they show is showing what appears to be the very same character.
I'll be avoiding it until after I've played the game.
After finishing the first game, I refused to call it a racing game. It isn't a race when the other cars sole objective isn't to win the race, but to slow you down and keep you from winning. Sounds like they haven't changed the formula at all. A shame because it could be such a better game.
To be fair, I think there is room to raise the question of being dumbed down a bit. I've seen multiple interviews where they talk about 2 parts in the first Portal that people got stuck on because you needed some quick reflexes to accomplish your goal. WIth Steam, they saw that a very high number of people were exiting the game during these 2 specific spots. They've said they've removed instances like this from Portal 2. To me, the game just focuses on being a thinking game an...
Driver is extremely overhyped? I haven't even seen or heard anything about it this year. I had completely forgotten about it.
Here ya go. English.

Another pretty good commercial.
I wonder why they're focusing on the co-op so much for the commercials.
I also think it's funny that this seems to suggest the robot with the roll cage is an earlier, inferior model.
The Pie is a Lie
Are you sure? I fired it up the other day and while trying to track down some music I wanted, it was only playing for 30 seconds. The stuff that played under the genre catergories played fine, but it was 98% garbage. It took about 15 minutes of skipping tracks until I finally landed on a Pantera track I "liked"
I guess you can upload your own tracks, but then I realized it's just too much work for a 6 month trial. I'll just keep listening to music stor...
