Peeking at the forum, and it looks like most people are more interested in getting it as a track pack for RB3 and would never actually touch the gameplay of it. To be honest, that's my only interest in it as well.
It seems like they're using this as an easy/cheap way to get people's foot in the door of the Rock Band world. Not necessarily a bad idea. Just doesn't do much for people who already have the instruments and play regularly.

I have no problem with DLC as a pre-order incentive, but I do hate the retailer exclusive stuff. Most of the time, it tends to be in favor or GameStop which I flat out refuse to visit.

Yeah, that's probably playing a part of it but I don't know if that'll be enough. A lot has changed this generation. MS has sold off developers and I can't even remember the last one they acquired. Also, former exclusive devs have been going multiplatform for bigger sales.
As it looks right now, I just don't see a big turn-around for exclusives on the Xbox.
This has me thinking now. I've been buying all the consoles for the last few generations, but I'm going to break that habit this time around and skip the Nintendo offering. Both the GC and Wii I hardly ever used. Until I see reason otherwise, I'm going to skip it.

They know the multiplats will sell well because they have the larger installed userbase. That may not be the case on the next generation. What is MS going to do to bring the core gamers back in the next round? If PS takes a commanding lead, MS cannot rely on multiplats.

17,000 Prime Instant Videos? When I looked I saw about 1700 movies and about 1400 TV shows (and that's SD and HD combined, so I'm sure a lot of duplicates). There really isn't that much out there that's free and in terms of movie selection, it's downright pathetic.
