This isn't sooner than expected. People wanted it with an early DLC pack. Pretty sure he said late March/early April timeline for a cap increase back in January.
I hope they keep it somewhat similar to what it is now. I love the ease and simplicity of it on the PS3. I don't need my screen filled with a bunch of stuff.
I seem to remember someone saying it'd support 4k only from 4k sources. There would be no upscale to 4k. It'd likely have to be a streaming 4k service, unless Sony surprises everyone and includes a BD drive capable of more than 2 layers.
I think the 4k thing is a bit of a fad. Many digital movie theater projectors are only 2k. These screens are huge. Why would someone need double that for a TV? With no solid physical media to support it right now, that leave...
You know, this wouldn't have bothered me so much if the experience earned wasn't balanced so poorly on the 2nd playthrough. Why am I hitting the cap before I even get halfway through? It seemed like I was gaining levels faster than the first time through. Higher levels, it should be slowing down. Leave something for people to work towards.
This is the sort of thing that drove me to stop getting games at Best Buy. I'd have so many problems ordering from them. Random credit card issues, fix it, then it'd pop up again a few weeks later on the same pre-order. Only way to fix was to call them, and the call times were excessive. You always had to wait to talk to one person to get forwarded to a different person and wait again.
The final straw was getting an email saying my pre-order for Dead Rising 2 ...
Level cap. There's nothing to work for beyond getting through the story. I too played the first two DLCs and was fairly bored with it. I don't think I'm using anything more than maybe one shotgun from the first DLC.
Something some developers seemed to have forgotten lately. Reward. Some games don't seem to have been balanced very well. I hit the cap way too early on the 2nd playthrough. No more levels, no new skills, and no more new higher leveled w...
of course I've heard of it. Just thought it was a dumb article from a no-name site based on the headline.
Here I thought this was going to be a horrible article from some site I've never heard of. But it's Toriyama who is actually saying this stuff. Did everyone at SE get hit hard on the head?
The level cap wouldn't have been such a problem if they had balanced the experience earned in Playthrough 2 a bit better. I was skipping side quests and still hit the cap well before reaching the end again. The leveling progression should have slowed down in the higher levels. Now after 2 DLCs and really only getting story enjoyment out of it, I'm rather bored with it. I'd guess we'll probably get the next DLC before the cap increases.
The only problem with that is how would the employer have connected the comments with these employees? It says neither's user name had any connection with their real name. Unless they handed over their usernames when they were hired, the only plausible explanation I can think of is that they did it from work.
With that said, there's nothing wrong with people browsing the internet at work if the employer allows it. Especially on breaks or lunch.
There's still a bunch of Slim 160GB models out there. I just bought one over the weekend for $230 at Best Buy.
I do agree they should bring that model to the states.
Oh how dare you! The talking sniper rifle is pretty badass at the point in the game that you can get it.
I can understand his point about keeping multiple versions of the same type of weapon, but I don't think he's considering people keeping, or "collecting" the legendary weapons. Sometimes it's not so simple as "is this better than what I have?" A lot of those weapons are novelties and have no practical use, but I'd still like to hold on to them, you know, for the novelty of it.
IIRC, didn't each DLC have another busted claptrap unit which expanded the inventory?
I thought that's what would happen this time, except you'd find Crazy Earl and would have to spend a crazy amount of Eridium each time to get the next level of inventory space.
All the new video shown was labeled as "world premiere" because it was new footage. Even for games we've already seen like Bioshock Infinite and Gears of War.
I should have known better than to even give this a shot.
Top 10 list on 10 pages.
10, 9, and 8 on the list seemed pretty weak targets for an otherwise interesting idea for a list.
But then #7.
“With 23 installments (all of which have received critical acclaim), 5 film adaptations, 2 CGI movies, 7 novels, and several other creations,”
Critical acclaim? Really?
IMDB, those 5 films. 34%, 21%, 22%, 24%, and 29%.
...
How in the world does anyone get that this might be some upcoming DLC out of that?
I miss getting that extra stuff.
Generally I'd agree with you, but I haven't seen confirmation that other retailers aren't also getting the same treatment. I won't be surprised at all to see "Amazon Edition" on my copy.
A superbowl ad for a game that comes out in Oct?
