I wonder why he didn't keep his original memory cards. Did he never think he might want to fire up a game on the original PS1/2?
I also wonder what their lifespan is. I had no problems with my old PS1 saves (even off of as 32X aftermarket card), but you'd think the data can only be stored for so long.
You can't recover what isn't there anymore.
That looks pretty awesome, but the crash details aren't going to be used to their fullest capabilities in GT or Forza as they have to limit the amount of damage to keep the manufacturers happy. It'd be perfect for fantasy cars though and would LOVE to see a new demo derby type game with this tech.
Guh.
"Note that enemies level with you. Hence if you go back to an earlier area, the enemies there will be of a higher level now."
Sometimes they do, not always.
"While the bosses will not revive after leaving"
Yes they do.
Tip 1 and 5 are pretty much the same thing.
That’s been T10’s problem all along with DLC. Most other games DLC actually gives you some content to keep it fresh and interesting. Just having cars as DLC does very little. Sure it may be a fun, new car, or something you owned and always wanted in a videogame, but you’re still stuck with the same tracks, same events, same content. Just a different vehicle to do it with. Unless the DLC cars are in some way better than what was previously available, then there’s just little incentive. ...
I've played 3 out of the four so far and I like Maya the best so far. The Phaselock is very effective, short cool down, and just downright fun.
I started out with Axton since I played as Roland almost exclusively the first time, but I'm a bit disappointed with the way the skill trees are laid out or the skills in general. While Axton is similar to Roland, I think the skillset is quite different and doesn't really fit the way I want to play.
It isn't bullshit. There was no season pass the first time around and DLC was $10 IIRC. Now for the sequel, they confirm 4 sets of DLC for $10 each and you can get a season pass for the same price as 3. Money saved. I'm absolutely bewildered as to how someone can see this as a negative.
What's the alternatives? Let's explore.
1. No season pass? That's no good.
2. They announce 5 sets of DLC for the price of 4? Still save $10, b...
I dunno, get 4 DLC packs for the price of 3?
Why would you assume the season pass would cover everything? It clearly states it'll cover 4 DLC packs for the price of 3. So logic would say if there's more than 4 DLC packs, they won't be covered.
Just like the Forza season pass. It covered six months of monthly car packs. More car packs came after that. Why should this be any different? If Gearbox wants to make more than 4 for the game, awe...
Not surprising. I've probably put in that much time just to get the triple Eridium jackpot. In the next hour, I got it two more times. I have yet to match the bell and vault symbol. Only matched Marcus once.
Golden Keys are over-rated.
I agree it'll probably be DLC at some point.
Article states pre-order bonuses started out as skins and special edition weapons, but I disagree. Before those became common, I remember getting physical stuff as a pre-order incentive like the messenger bag with Mirror's Edge or the 20th Anniversary goodies for Castlevania Portrait of Ruin. I know there was other neat stuff that I missed out on. This was some actual sweet swag for nothing more than giving Gamestop a ...
They probably took the setting out of the ini file that people could easily modify as a text file. It was silly of them to put it there in the first place.
I was really waiting for this to come along to replace my fatty which I though was dying (turns out it's fine). But with the price being higher and looks (and probably feels) cheaper, I'm pretty disappointed. Wish they offered the flash drive model here (assuming it's significantly cheaper).
I don't care how often they are released as long as they keep the production quality high and has a good story. I think Revelations was too heavy on the busy-work and too little story, so it went in the wrong direction, but all signs point to AC3 redeeming the series.
Little bummed out that the robot is a special skill instead of a constant pet/companion type thing. Killed a bit of my enthusiasm, but I'll still check it out. Now I just want to see the skill tree.
Odd. I had downloaded Borderlands last week and just fired it up today. When trying to start a new game, it was looking for save files and just got stuck. I had to quit out of the game and relaunch. Now, every time I do, the screen goes black for a couple seconds, comes back for a couple seconds and just repeats. I deleted the game and save data and was going to reinstall, but of course PSN is down.
Now, fired up Ghost Recon Future Soldier to make sure everything els...
That looks terrible. They made the game look like just any other shooter out there with more vibrant colors. Why not draw some attention to the game's strengths?
AOTS could be so much more watchable if they got rid of the cackling hyenas. Last time I tuned in, it seems to have actually gotten worse. And now they've got segments about booze? Uhgh.
I wonder what he means that we'll have access to Sir Hammerlock.
I don't think the game was ever $60. It was $45 when I got it the first day.
