Like others, I don't really care that multiplayer is disappearing. What I would like to see is, more co-op.
I play games to relax, and competitive multiplayer just isn't for me anymore. Been there, done that. But I still love playing through games with friends. Something like Borderlands. I thought FarCry 3 would do it like that, but it wound up being a bit of a joke. I REALLY hope Just Cause 3 includes some campaign co-op like the PC modders managed to do. ...

The level of whining really amazes me. They made it as clear as they could have up front that the Season Pass would only get you the first four DLC packs. Now they're including more and instead of people being happy about getting more for the money they spent on the SP, people are upset about it?

They made it clear from the start the season pass would get you the first four DLC packs, and that's what you're getting.
I simply don't get the whining going on about this. Season pass doesn't get you everything. They never said it would and in fact clearly said up front it wouldn't (example, Gaige).
People should be happy they're including the level cap and 3rd playthrough in the Season Pass.

The person quoted seems to think there's two types of people in the world. People who only buy used games and people who only buy new games. He doesn't seem to factor in the rest.
I've maybe bought 2 used games in the last decade, and I know for sure that if they blocked used games beyond, say, a 2 year window after release of the game, I won't be buying the next Xbox.
Yeah, I noticed that right away too. Seemed odd that the top would be rounded off like that and it seemed like there was a seam between it and the rest of the controller. Big question is, why would it flip up? That'll be interesting to find out.
You keep saying your PS3 is always on and always connected. If it is, that's a choice you made. Mine is neither. Yes, it has a standby mode, but for the most part it is powered down and definitely not connected.
You can check your router's connected devices and see it isn't connected.
I don't agree either. I actually get quite annoyed when I see a good looking game get released for portable systems only. If I'm not at home, I'm too busy doing other things and don't have time to be playing games like driving, working, or all the other things that cause me to be away from home in the first place. If I'm out and have time to play games, I might as well head home. I'm not going to buy a portable system to play games on a tiny screen at home.

Obviously handhelds and redesigns are not going to get anywhere near the attention of a new home console system.
So I'll stand by my point, saying the PS4 is getting more pre-orders than any of those others is a meaningless statement. It SHOULD be getting more pre-orders than those.

I just had to laugh when he compared videogames to going to a concert. A good concert is what, 3 hours? A lot of the big older bands charge a lot more than $60. So $60 is a lot for games you can dump 100 hours into?
We get it, life happens and you have other expenses. Congratulations. Just because you can't afford it now because of priorities, doesn't make games expensive.
The original one had a stunt room.
It was a bit flawed though. It was hidden on a part of a track so you had to start a race to get to it. Doing loops and crazy jumps and stuff is all well and good until you mess up and crash. Then it'd warp you back to the race so you had to drive all the way back over to the hidden entrance. Kind of annoying.
So plenty of people were doing that sort of thing with the original.
Yeah, I recognized his voice right away. I'll be surprised if it isn't him. Snake voice, who knows. Maybe Kojima is trolling us again, but I don't think he is. I saw someone suggest earlier Big Boss and Solid would both be in the game and they might want different voice actors for both of the characters. Being clones and all, I think they should have a similar, if not identical voice.
