It's on PC.
Take advantage of this deal if you plan on getting it for PC.

... it was a great franchise? O.o
^ I believe those numbers are only retail?
Steam's numbers are usually a mystery... and I know a lot of people (including myself) that pre-ordered the PC version from GMG for ~30$.
... but isn't it PS3/PC/Mac cross-platform?
I'd add a vote for finding out who Strelok was in Stalker... and the ending to every MGS game.
Also, SystemShock2's twist > Bioshock's twist
Not to mention the amount of glitches that would come with it.
Such as... http://www.youtube.com/watc...
"I would make a reply to that, but I would first ask for your example before I say anything."
Well, I would assume it's apparent by looking at how games have progressed.
Games didn't originally immerse players into a compelling story-line.
Most of the action games I recall playing haven't been about story or characters.
Only games I played for the story/characters were the point-and-click adventures games or RPGs.
...
"Sure, later consoles did have great gaming experiences, but for my money the SNES had the best and most of them all. Games back then were all about story, music, and characters."
... most of the games I played on SNES just had good music and difficult gameplay. (... and the music wasn't really that great either, it just got embedded in my mind over time)
Story and Character development is something that's gotten bigger recently (outside of ...
... Not bad if you're getting 22H of entertainment out of it.
... Also, the repetition you mentioned appears to be deeper than what most other games offer.
HR is a prequel, so playing the first game isn't necessary.
There's a few things that reference the future (i.e. DeusEx1) but it's mostly self-contained.
"Deus Ex HR shows that some developers actually CAN do a franchise reboot properly."
I don't consider HR as a reboot of the franchise. It's a prequel, and it changes a few things, but it's still a DeusEx game.

What pleased me so much about DeusEx was that it was a proper DeusEx game. It felt like a game made by the same team that made the original.
When I first played DeusEx, Thief and SystemShock2, I was exp...
^ "all the things you mention most players will work out within a day or so."
I doubt it.
Most players have yet to figure out how to spot enemies in BC2 despite over a year after release, so I doubt they'd be able to get to grips with CS quickly.
... That is assuming that Valve hasn't simplified the base game itself.
I just hope the hitboxes are improved.
While Amnesia is scarier in it's actual gameplay, I found SilentHill2 to have a more lasting psychological effect.
My personal scariest game (SystemShock2) failed to make it on the list.
I still flinch every time I hear a monkey.
You don't have to ALT-TAB.
Closing the game and re-launching it works fast enough (faster than disconnecting/reconnecting to a new server in most other games)
Also, since BF3 has Origin integration, you should be able to use the web-browser within origin (similar to Steam's in-game web browser) to find servers.
... I'm not a fan of PunkBuster... but meh, not like they have any other real option.
... or around ~$30 if you pre-order from GMG and use a promo code.
^ If you can't notice the glaring difference in lighting between the first few images and the remaining one, then God help you.
The hilarious part is, a lot of those images are from pre-rendered CGI sequences.
(The only in-game ones are the keypad one and the two after it, well that and the entire 2nd page)
@DK
"If what you're saying is true, then explain why the vast majority of major game exclusives are NOT on PC but on consoles?"
... because exclusives are an issue to console manufacturers. They have to push their console over their competitor, and one way of doing that is by funding projects exclusive to their platform.
A platform exclusive on console usually means there's an agreement/contract that is keeping the game exclusive. <...
The MoH LE buyers get access to beta 48hours before it becomes available to public.
So... all of us get to try it next month next month.
"I guarentee if Twisted metal was multiplat you guys would be sucking its little pecker..."
Comments like that are usually uttered by the kind of people that practice the same kind of hypocrisy.
Jaffe's comparison doesn't make much sense anyways. You can't really put a car-combat game against a story-driven shooter.
It's just the common case of a developer hyping their game, that's all.
