Cloud Storage is awesome, especially for someone like me that plays games like Civ5 between a desktop and laptop. Being able to access the save files from wherever I want is very convenient.

I'd assume that people might eventually get tired of the modern military shooter, and maybe then DICE can try for a futuristic theme.

Yea, but co-op seems to be an added bonus rather than the meaty part of the game.
The gameplay isn't special (why do we have to shoot the two guys at the same time when you have a shotgun?) but the animation system is quite cool, especially for an FPS.

Why not pick the PC version then? It seems like the more productive option.
With console gaming, you might end up missing your bill payments, missing your already missed TV shows (maybe consoles are to blame for missing them in the first place?), missing urgent e-mails, missing any important news and loosing friends who might end up feeling neglected.

The problem with it is that the masses prefer the cinematic experience... and the big publishers follow the money trail.
Linear shooters can still be fun though. Half-Life series is a good example. A linear scripted path, but still manages to give the player options.

They worked on the PC port, and he openly admits that due to that, he's biased towards the PC side.
Anyways, its your choice. The early reviews seem to suggest that it's a game worth playing, so do check up on it later on. ;)
I kind of like the engine they're using.
Horror really isn't about visuals, it's about sound. A game like Amnesia can have the visuals of Minecraft and still be scary because it messes with your mind.

The images you've posted, although impressive, don't really offer any proof of ray-tracing being used. (I must admit, the last one does look incredibly photo-realistic)
