What about enemies that seem to be loaded with items that doesn't make sense.

... ain't that what the DLC is?
Works like a subscription anyways.

Considering that they used the word "Smorgasbord", I'd say they're pretty legit.

CoD and MW are redundant in your list.

Although Metroid Prime wasn't more of the same, unless if you mean corruption, which actually got knocked for being so.

@Anh_Duong

Which exclusive are you talking about?
GT5, HeavyRain and GoW3 sit at a metacritic just below IGN's score. (I only checked those three games)

Seems like they've been giving fine reviews recently.
Besides, LPB is so unique that someone can just look at the game and decide if they want it or not.

Valve nails everything on the list... except for lesson 1, which is having small development cycles.
=x

.. Or, well actually, it says "When you take six years to make a game, it had better be the pinnacle of game design." and that's usually true for a Valve game anyways.

I find MineCraft to be similar to a game like Civilization.

There isn't really any goal (asside from survive) and on paper, it just sounds boring.
I can't fully explain the addictive nature of it either.

It starts with something simple as 'I think I'll place a flower here' and before you know it, the whole day has passed and you're building mordor. Although it kinds gets lonely after a while. =/

Though I found ...

I think the author just stated that there are games where a good/evil action has consequences and can have an impact on the plot.
It mentions that the actual segments where a choice is available are few in numbers and that it's a pew-pew affair for the most part of the game.

I wonder if Amnesia:TheDarkDescent counts as a pacific game.

The first one was quite great too.

Absolutely loved the mime-villain in the 2nd one though.
Fun games.

I feel insulted by the fact that the game thinks that it has to give me points to coax me into doing those things.

^ Hah, I bought more things at around midnight since I would be busy throughout the day.
It usually ended up with me having poor judgement and buying a bunch of things simply because they had a big XX% off sticker on 'em

... Woke up every morning and wondered what I had done and how I would probably not even play half those games.
Vowed to never foolishly buy so many games ever again... and then ended up buying another truckload of games at midnight anyway...

In your steam browser, look at the toolbar on the top and go to 'Steam' -> 'Settings'

New window will pop-up. Check the 'Download + Cloud' tab and change your download region.
It'll try downloading from a different server and should end up working.

It saddens me that the Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom isn't on that list. It was the best 50 cents I have ever spent.

So, I can't name Starcraft... hmm

CivilizationV is just another RTS, that won't do.

STALKER is an FPS, I guess that counts.

Minecraft is a top notch game. Hehehe... get it, "notch"? Oh nevermind.

TeamForttress2 is pretty cool too if you're into hats.

^ ... Healthier food is more expensive. The reason people go to fast food restaurants is because it's quick and cheap.
You can't get an all-organic salad for a buck. If there were healthier alternatives for the price, then people would flock to it.

In games, quality is all about taste. (Unless if we dwell into the psychological impacts from each game). It's not like food which, despite tasting good, might end up causing serious internal problems.

Ok, so... in summary, PS3 is better due to:
- It has epic boss fights
- It has more user-created content
- Blu-ray has more space
- It's harder to make games for it
- Has more creative games
- Has exclusive games that actually have a shot at GOTY

I'm not sure who you're trying to convince... it certainly won't convince any PC gamer since most of thoss points are wrong or are down to opinion.

^ That's down to opinion on what is more "fun".

I bought BlackOps because it offers a run-n-gun shoot-anything-that-moves experience which I find to be fun. It's the same reason why I enjoyed Quake and why I still play TF2 despite what MannCo has done to it.
Many others seem to think the same and they bought it.

You can't hate someone for offering a product that people like. Blame the consumer, blame me, for having a poor taste i...
