You got a link to that list? =p
Real men play FPS games with CameraMouse...
... well, either that or a steering wheel. =/
The audio in that Portal2 clip is something though.
Do you people even read articles or just read the title and see it's IGN and start off a rant? O.o
... or was the article just not worth reading?
Lemme clue you in, the article is about how one doesn't need to constantly upgrade PC hardware nowadays since the tech boundaries aren't being pushed like they used to be.
... It's interesting how despite naming games from multiple platforms, people always find a way to convince themselves that the article is taking a jab at a specific game that they like.
It's always stereotypes though.
Skinny androgynous males prancing around with swords or a gruffy white guy with short-brown hair.
brraaaahhhhhggg
The trailer still kicks ass though... and I thought MGS4's cinematic trailer would never get topped.

... It appears that they skipped on one solution;
Allow users to rent their own servers.
It's how things usually work on PC and it's damn effective there. Don't know how well console players will adopt it. It would require the server owner to be mature though since they usually get the admin features.
Only thing more annoying than a screaming 13 year old is a screaming power-hungry 13-year old.

... and since...
LPB and HeavyRain were kind of a big risks though.
LPB depends almost entirely on the community. The original LPB was a very risky game in that sense since it could have easily fallen flat on it's face had the community not supported it.
QuanticDream's Fahrenheit was a good 'game' but it was a bit lacking in sales. It kinda made you wonder why HeavyRain would be any different.
AlanWake was similar (perhaps more action-y), and didn'...
^ It's not really bad for all 3. It depends on what side of the coin you look at.
- Consumers being picky means that better products get sold.
- EA actually has to offer some online content to justify the pass.
- Sales won't be affected since used games don't really contribute to the sales. Except for those that live off-of used game sales, shucks for them.
Why do devs even bother with GFWL?
It doesn't stop pirates, neither does Ubisoft's fancy DRM, nor steam.
What's a 100 times zero?
... Why didn't they ask about the Zero-point energy field manipulator? O.o
I don't think this was really necessary.
I consider myself a PC gamer and found the original article amusing. Each point reeked of logical fallacy and contained it's own counter-argument.
I thought that was the point?
O.o
... It's supposed to take place in London, not France.
... Trey sounded like they were putting effort into the game too. =/
3D without glasses? How the hell does that even work?
O.o
EDIT: So did a bit of research. Interesting approach.
I wonder if the current motion sensors (Kinect/PSeye) could work with one of those panels. Might be a cheaper way to upgrade... perhaps.
I'll have to keep an eye out for those 3D laptops.
Devil's Tuning Fork is an awesome idea. Can't believe I've never heard of it till now.
I thought the article was quite good.
o.o
Hmm, that's wierd. Since the 1.0.4 -> 1.0.7 patches I've been getting decent performance out of GTA4.
It was horrible at first, but the patches seem to have improved it for me.
EDIT: @tdrules
I'm using the steam version and Patch 7. Games works fine.
Then again, with tech, sometimes you end up getting lucky. =/
Steam had way more than 10 games at 75% off. I did see a few of the steam sale articles.

Endless updates for unfinished games?
PC games usually have had long development times and delays. There's a few games such as Stalker which tend to be buggy on release and get fixed later, but the majority of PC games I've played have been finished products.
I'm seeing a lot of unfinished games this gen, and most of them have been multiplatform games. It would be unfair to pin that on PCs.
Updates are a good thing. It adds co...
