Same beta trial happened with Vista. I happened to be one of them and yes...I reinstalled XP and forgot all about Vista.
Gaming is never the root of mental illness. Good thing this article was able to clear things up...too bad the majority of people will still find games culpable. Its good that he was able to get help. Hopefully he doesn't make any more attempts on his life.
RUMOR: Jack Thompson is moving to China! jk
lol, Unreal Tournament came to mind right away.
Fortunately my dogs haven't had any incidents with the Wii mote. My ferrets on the other hand almost made me through the Wii mote into the TV. Picture someone playing Mario Party 8 and a ferret latching onto your toe with the bite of death...
I'm waiting for trophies still...:-( Next update perhaps? Please Konami...
Killzone 2 doesn't need CGI. Aside from being resource intensive, it is plain to see the engine has almost reached parity. In other words: Killzone 2 looks too good to use resource hogging CGI because it already looks just as good.
Just got Killzone 1 in the mail today :-)
PS: Morgan...I know we have our differences, however its good that we'll both be able to play Killzone 2. Cheers.
Not sure I like the article. The difference between MGS4 and Killzone 2 are the game engines. Depending on the game engine the game might more scalable on the hardware and be able to push it more. If Hideo is to be believed, MGS4 maxed out the "engine" not the hardware. In the case of Killzone 2, the engine has not been maxed and the next game will likely try. There is a difference in maxing game engines and consoles. PS3 will never be maxed however game engines used to output excel...
lol, thanks for the reply. Your reaction to my use of IE was amusing. Bubble for you. I know, I know...Firefox is better. Waiting for Chrome to come out for Linux in June :-) Truth be told, I only use Internet Explorer for school. All I was trying to say is that its a little more difficult for the casual or even moderate user, to get certain programs working. I think I understand why moderate to advance users like Linux so much; able to do anything more efficiently. I'm still learning I guess...
As long as we don't have to pay for the variety...I'd like some.
Most computers have an re-install disc. If your computer does not have one and its your main OS...not a good idea if you aren't planning on upgrading.
I choose to forgo XP in favor of Windows 7 for my primary comp (though not without a reinstall disc). No complaints here. I highly doubt 7 will be much more expensive than Vista when it first came out. Student ID helps also.
The thing I would like to know is whether or not I have to buy 2 versions if I wish to inst...
Agreed (3/3.1/3.3). I would never pay the "Apple Premium" and then install Windows OS. Otherwise, whats the point? The core hardware of the Mac is no different than any high end PC. Intel inside, ya know?
So....Laura is going to go from super hottie to plain jane? Or are they just talking about cleavage? The article didn't answer any which way. Got to love speculation...however, Tomb Raider didn't exactly scream out quality design to me. Personally, I'd rather play Uncharted with a hot side kick than Ms. Laura GILF...shes gettin old.
I would say that a reboot is in order, however Eidos shouldn't alienate the fans. More cleavage and unlockable bra less skin wouldn't be bad ;-P

I wouldn't run any OS other than Mac Leopard or XP/Vista/7 on my destop/laptop computer. Compatiblity is the main complaint I have with open OS. Tell me how I can play games on Steam, listen to music through itunes and zune, stream netflix movies, use Internet Explorer etc, etc without searching for a work around. I'm not experienced with Wine (yet) however it is still a struggle to get any of the programs I listed working (properly). Granted I love my Eee PC 1000 and Eee ubuntu but I wish i...
I'm in a generous mood as well:-p I never had a problem with the palette of GeOW 1 & 2, Resistance 1, nor any other game. Grey and brown are more "realistic" colors so for the sake of realism there shouldn't be any complaints.
Corporate greed. So typical.
I don't think there was anything to worry about in terms of sales. New IP and different game play concept kept this game from selling a million first day however I think the game will be around for a while on the sales charts. Word of mouth and commercials don't hurt. Definitely not a game to trade with all the fresh content being generated (user and official).
Edit: Even though I know Greenturd is a fanboy, I find his comments amusing and sometimes insightful. N4G needs a litt...
It seems the reason to me is that its a lot of work. Keeping the graphic fedelity of single player is really hard when you through in split screen co-op. I can't say that I miss it. I welcome online co-up being as how I can game with my brothers 100+ miles away.
With that said, split screen co-op makes a game much more valuable. Rather than pawn the game off after you beat it you might be inclined to keep it for when a buddy or two comes over. Game publishers should think about...
I'm impressed so far. I wasn't able to transfer from XP to 7 so I had to back up all my data on an external. I did a clean install and as soon as I connected to the Internet (automatically) it downloaded all of my drivers. Very impressive. I am amazed that Windows 7 is only a beta. I'm also using Internet Explorer 8; very fast and the first time I used IE in over a year. All I have to say is good work. Finally an upgrade I'm willing to pay for.
I don't think so personally. The day parents start encouraging their children to be prostitutes is the day the world ends...
For comparisons sake there is no comparison to Killzone 2. I am looking forward to Halo Wars...however its not must buy (for me). I don't need any excuse to buy Killzone 2. Also, GTAIV downloadable content isn't guaranteed to be good. Sold Resistance 1 and 2 to get Killzone 2. I purchased the original Killzone 1 to catch up on the story. Looking forward to fragging some Helghast!
I enjoyed the single player campaign of Resistance much more. The co-op could be quite fun though I didn't like the fact that in most play sessions I didn't start at the beginning of each level. Multiplayer could be quite fun though a bit arcadey. I am looking forward to Killzone 2 and its more realistic take on movement; feeling as though your character has mass along with momentum. I don't want to take away from what Resistance 2 achieved, though I suppose it wasn't my cup of tea.
