As far as PC games are concerned, there shouldn't be big box retail anymore. DRM and piracy will always exist in this market. Release games exclusivity online with Steam and Stardock's Goo. With Goo in particular you could sell your "used" games. It has a lot of potential.
More on topic- Good for EA. Perhaps this is a sign of change on their DRM stance.
Agreed. The PS2 is $100 and there is no reason to include it back in the PS3. Sony is trying to drop the price of the PS3...not raise it with unnecessary functionality. I wish I had gotten a 60 GB when it was still out but I'm just fine having an 80 GB PS3 and PS2.
I am disappointed its not more. If more than 8 million people bought the game on PS3 and 360, the game should have much more than 1 million downloads. There is a good but short article on Joystiq.com regarding DLC. In general there is a stigma that alienates people from buying it as they think it should be included for free.

Also, its spotty logic connecting blu-ray rental from Netflix and PS3. After all, there are other blu-ray players that aren't PS3s. The article makes the assumption that the added cost of owning a PS3 went up as a result. Silly. As a Netflix subscriber myself I was none to happy to find a dollar increase email in my inbox. Still, I figure that renting from Netflix still saves me hundreds of dollars as opposed to renting blu-rays from Blockbuster or paying $25-30 dollars to buy. There is alwa...
I would a Gmail app on my DSi. No reason why it couldn't happen either. Also, I doubt any 3rd party music service will come to the DSi as its only able to play AAC and not MP3. Messenger would be cool however it takes too long to type. If they had writing based messaging via WiFi that would probably work well.
I read the article. Are you trying to tell me that you can see through trees and the whole island is flat and barren? Thats what you implied. Sorry to say, but Crysis isn't set in Kansas. There are trees, hills/mountains, and buildings which obstruct your vision. If you climb a mountain, thats a different situation all together. Perhaps the terrain might have a more limited draw distance in a port. Also, did YOU read the article? The limiting factor of a console port is the dynamic AI and cau...

Crysis could still be done. The article talks about real time AI and everything you do as having an effect on the world. So...if you removed this aspect and only focused on a a few square miles at a time (within eye shot distance) you should be able to pull it off. After Killzone 2, I'm convinced consoles could pull it off just fine. Maybe not at 1080p or with fancy AI, but something that looks great. Not sure why Cryteck doesn't want to make money on console ports...
Seems to be quite a few goodies coming out.
Sign me up. Every kid and their dog will have a netbook. Add a 3G card and I think it would be perfect.
Yes you do get what you pay for. When you get an Apple they offer you an expensive Apple club (cool) pass that expires every year when your $hit becomes outdated. I could never justify paying hundreds of dollars more when a similarly priced computer could let me play Crysis.
I agree. Xbox Live Community games have a transparency to them that limits their success from the get go. Publishing XNA games has more to do with gaining recognition for your work and hoping a publisher takes notice. Therefore the initial profit is less important than the investment. Take Dishwasher: Dead Samurai for example of success with this system. Despite what many articles want you to believe, there are two sides to every coin. I'm not for a 60% revenue cut, but if my ambitions were c...
The truth hurts for some people judging from your disagrees. The price you could pay for a similarly priced laptop/desktop vs a mac would get you a much better speced machine. No doubt about that. I challenge anyone with half a brain to check it out. Apple tax adds hundreds of dollars on top of your purchase. I am not saying that Apple's aren't good computers, however the value aspect is very much true. Ever wonder why Apple doesn't let you make your own computers? Case closed.

"We want consumers to think to themselves 'I will work more hours to buy one.'"
I believe this quote is for you. Its crazy but true. If you really want something, work your butt off to get it. It is worth the effort. You have a PS3 in return and satisfied that hard work really does pay off.
Not sure I agree that the PSP has no games. It has different games. Whether or not you find the games good or bad is subjective. Personally, you should get what is best for you.
Your wrong about there not being a major hardware revision in the DSi.
DSi:
133 MHz ARM CPU (2x larger)
16 GB of RAM (4x larger)
256 MB of internal storage
Updated wireless protocol- you can now use WPA/WPA 2
DSiware
DS:
2 ARM processors @ 67 MHz and 33 MHz respectively
4 GB of RAM
256 KB of memory
Outdated wireless protocol- only WEP and unprotected WPA/WPA 2
Also, Nintendo is releasi...
I like that idea! If consoles were cross compatible the console wars could be decided easily. I couldn't support one console. I would be far too expensive. Competition is what keeps the prices low. Not only would the console be expensive but the cost of software would go up as well. Last but not least, I want a console I'm able to import all of my achievements and trophies.
Resident Evil 4 says hello btw...
Personally, I wouldn't want RE5 on the Wii either. I don't want a graphics downgrade regardless of the controls. If Capcom wants to port RE5 they should make sure to release it for the eventual Wii HD.
Also, what do people think about the Dead Space game for the Wii? If its good it might change my perspective on whether or not the Wii could do RE5 justice.
Sony could have easily turned the PS2 into its version of the Wii with a wireless remote and dongle. They could still do it. As long as the PS2 continues to sell, they should really think about this option. Its not like most Wii games look much better than PS2 anyway.
