This game rocks and is quite difficult. I would describe it as a 2D Ninja Gaiden on steroids. The name is also pretty cool I guess :-p
I agree in part with what your saying. My only objection is your statement regarding Microsoft buying up the market. It is the netbook makers decision to include Linux or not. If you want to find a netbook with Linux, give Asus a shot. Dell and HP both now offer Linux alternatives as well. HP in particular has a netbook with Ubuntu based software called MIE. Very nice looking OS btw, look it up.
As far as the drivers go, it can be a little difficult to get them if your netbook wa...
I doubt the figures as well. I was just thinking where I had heard Linux had 30% market share in netbooks. Thanks for remembering the source.
I don't think anyone will ever know what the true stats are. I bought a netbook with Xandros (eee PC) and promptly installed Ubuntu eee. On the opposite side of the spectrum a friend of mine got the same netbook (eee pc 1000) and "had to" install Windows XP. I think it will be most interesting to see what impact Windows 7 will hav...
Principle reason DLC/patches on the PC are free. Publishers have learned they won't pay for them.
Perhaps I'm of the type that doesn't mind paying for DLC. Capcom's explanation that the DLC wasn't in the budget of the original game was good enough for me. RE5 is so good that I don't mind giving them extra money :-p
The counter argument is convincing in itself, but the multiplayer update adds something that wasn't there in the first place. Be happy the game will have...
Beta tester? I think not. When did it matter "who" got the definitive version. Who exactly is going to buy a port of a game with zero enhancements? If you already purchased Worms from XBLA, there isn't much more to see. You can have fun playing your delayed Worms while 360 owners play Worms 2: Armageddon. If being a beta tester involves getting games on time/earlier, I don't mind.
With that said, I recently purchased Worms for the first time. I didn't understand what th...
Because you say so? Consoles infrastructure never took MMO development seriously until now. Things to work out include subscription fees (or lack of) and control issues. Notwithstanding, the PS3 could possibly be a very viable MMO market all by itself.
Denial doesn't make anything true.
Way to skew the data. Don't be dense. The sales data includes multiplatform games. Everyone is doing very well. Also, you seem to imply that only the top 25 games are worth mentioning. Halo Wars was # 26. Quite the cut off you made. I can do it too. If you limit the data to the top 13, you don't see Killzone 2 either. See how pointless both examples are? Hope you do.
(Look at comment 2 if you want individual sales numbers 1-40)

While its a possibility, I doubt that Sony would publish GT5 on the PS2. Millions of people around the world have PS2's and that would cannibalize PS3 hardware sales. Remember- Sony need to turn a profit on the PS3; the PS2 is sold at profit and has for years.
Sarcasm-
GT5 on the PC wouldn't affect PS3 sales like you think. The people that have a PS3 will most likely get it for their console. Also, if a PC version is released, most likely it ...
People often forget that Sony has laptops...and they run Windows.
With that said it is naive to rule out a PC version. Why? I have a plenty of examples of games published and developed by Sony and released on the PC:
Everquest 1 and 2
The Agency
DC Universe Online
Free Realms
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Star Wars Galaxies
Pirates of the Burning Sea
Planetside
etc...

Also, the vast majority of people would never think about looking at it, let alone be tempted by it. Disgusting. How in the world could anyone look at an innocent child in such a way? Regardless, games can't be classified as such a despicable act. Child pornography is a sickness. Gaming at most is an addiction, and is usually a healthy hobby everyone (and anyone) can enjoy.
Personally, I think the first commercial was better. Both are a heck of a lot better than "I am a PC." Should be interesting to see how Apple counterattacks.
Beefjack said Mass Effect 2 was a timed exclusive (and coming to PS3). Did anyone else get that? No one else even mentioned it.
I almost got an iPhone and let my Verizon Wireless contract run out. Now, I'm glad I got a Storm. Blackberry App World just launched and I see more smartphone competition in the next few years. The iPhone will always have its following but now there are alternatives.
Regarding yearly phone updates...you don't feel like your getting something as special if it gets fazed out within a year. If Apple could stretch the updates out by a year and a half or two, I think people would fee...
I think I'm done buying DLC. If PC gamers get it for free and pay $10 less at that, console gamers should get the same treatment. I won't pay a premium so others can freeload. Does anyone know why console users get shafted? I'm pissed :-(
Edit: I think I know why PC gamers get free DLC. 1. They never paid for DLC. 2. They throw a fit of rage when they don't get their way. 3. They pirate the offending publisher and game until they offer said DLC for free. There is no reason that c...
I almost downloaded the game just for that achievement. Still might get it. It is very hard despite its simplicity. The AI is tough. Check out the demo if you want a challenge.
The Peter Moore achievement might be the easiest one ever made. You only have to click the guide button to get it, lol.
The article was posted today and by one of the administrators no less. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Wii prequel. The Wii is getting Dead Space in prequel form; why not Bioshock? It could be fake but I wouldn't write it off yet.
Bubbles and Kudos
You said nothing wrong. Its crazy that some people get so upset over console sales...:-p
Personally, I think the Wii market in Japan is saturated. In other words, most people that wanted one already have one. I expect new colors and "DVD" functionality being added sometime soon. A price drop would help sales a little but Nintendo needs to show the software. Monster Hunter for the Wii might be the game that gets people to buy Wii's again. ...
I haven't seen the swarm of xbox360 fans your talking about. So, stop being a paranoid. Everyone has a right to like or dislike a game. Good reviews mean nothing if you don't like the genre or the intricacies of the multiplayer/single player. There is no right or wrong answer, only preference. The Halo and Call of Duty franchises are established franchises that are a bit more noob friendly. Killzone 2 is a hard core game created for the hardcore. It has a moderate learning curve and is differ...
I wish, although I doubt it. I don't think there has ever been a patch for even the Wii. I am bummed about the WiFi situation too. I was hoping to be able to play some Mario Kart DS online :-(
The reason I think publishers are charging more right now is because the online marketplace (PSN and Live) are much more competitive and crowded than before. Just as in retail, the prices are more or less standard so that the maximum amount of profit may be made. It wouldn't be a big stretch to assume publishers know that a certain number of people will get the game at said price at $15. On the off chance that there is a sale or permanent price reduction, more sales may be gained without cutt...
