XBLA should be more like Steam. Charge a little bit extra for early adopters and hold frequent sales on multiple titles. 'Deal of the Week' isn't good enough. They should fall by 100 points every other month. The prices are too static. I bought Worms on XBLA only after it became an arcade hit and dropped to 400 points.
Is a game worth paying $15 dollars on XBLA (or PSN for that matter)? Yes, if it can prove its worth. Virtua On is a good example. If I recall it was a full fledge...
On n4g's you don't necessarily have to say anything truthful, relevant or informative. As long as you bash Xbox, you are guaranteed at least a handful of agrees. The reason GUAVE has as many as he does is that he is a known flamer. People expect his sort of behavior and support it. Otherwise, you wouldn't have ignorant people agreeing.
With that said, hopefully both games end up good. Quality control is usually a good thing.
I concur. I prefer the old look. All of the new graphical additions made Butchers Bay look sort of faded and not as sharp. Certain aspects such as the lighting and anti-aliasing are better in the upgrade. Textures arguably look worse with the post processing effects. I still love it regardless.
Also, as an the owner of a console version, I'm disappointed by the jaggies. PC gamers and their graphixz! :-p
I was generalizing, but your right. PSN license management is very progressive in that 5 downloads are allowed. Live also is good for another reason. As long as M$ has your credit card, you have access to your digital goods. The perfect solution would be to combine both systems. There is no reason you should lose rights to games you paid for, no matter how long ago. This should be a given, especially sense the novelty of owning a physical copy isn't there. Hopefully, consumers will never lose...

The scary thing is that facebook and myspace have made it even easier to stalk people. As a rule I tell all my friends (not just girls) to lock their viewable account to only friends. Also, its a good idea not to add anyone you don't personally know. Very sad story.
Its too bad games got dragged in the mud again. Always the scapegoat. Social media sites, arguably lead to more cases of rape, assault/murder, and other crimes. Games had nothing to do with the murder that transpired...

Wow...DLC on the DS. Outside of Rockband/Guitar Hero, what Wii games have accomplished this feat? Even the Conduit won't have DLC (and/or patches).
Same for me. First day buy. Not mentioned by speculated is an improved battery life and faster load times. No UMD drive will make it happen. I'm not concerned with the device being digital only. Games purchased through a PSN account are games you own forever.
Its not limited to one console. Also, unless you have the stats, you haven't proven anything. People also pad stats in a similar way. It doesn't matter which console, it ruins the fun for other people. Overall, if you earn them the right way and don't compare to people that do, it shouldn't effect your sense of accomplishment.
Microsoft is not releasing its own phone. Why? Because, they are dedicated to Mobile Windows. Mobile Windows 6.5 isn't even out yet...why would they release a phone that would compete? If anything they will introduce Live Market place on all new MW phones. I don't recall the Zune being a huge success (despite being awesome) so it is doubtful they would risk making their own phone and alienating business partners.

When you have computer manufactures (HP, Dell, Acer) making phones, it seems there is too much competition. More the merrier, just saying.
Personally, I think it would be more interesting if the iPhone came to Verizon. The reason I think its a possibility is that Vodaphone owns 45% of Verizon as it is...and carries the iPhone. It would be a huge win for Apple if they expanded the market...and consumers as well.

If you said, "cheating and boosting achievements (and trophies) robs them of value," you would be correct. Despite your personal bias, most people don't abuse the system. Otherwise, millions of people would have an artificially high score and hence be noticed. At least offenders of this practice are being punished.
People are all up in arms...The PS3 version wasn't mentioned but that doesn't mean it won't come out. The first one came out and the second should as well. Personally, I think the game will be a timed exclusive and/or M$ purchased marketing exclusivity. Remember all the commercials with only the 360 mentioned? That sort of thing.
The forums never should have been blocked, however I don't remember Star Wars having any references homosexual in nature. This isn't a knock against homosexuals, but a matter of staying true to the source material. Right?

I would love it if: they made a multiplayer mode in which you could play necromorph vs engineer/soldier character. In addition, make a multiplayer mode in which you fight other characters and random necromorphs spawn. Last but not least, make a survival mode.
Multiplayer could be a lot of fun :-)
If we're using bada$$gamers logic, we should demand Insomniac games make Resistance 3 multiplatform. Why not? It sounds just as bad. Some games/franchises should stay platform exclusive.

Console owners shelled out $10 for maps while PC gamers got them all for FREE. Good way to tell your fans how you care about them right? Don't support anymore paid DLC....unless you like paying for someone getting maps while you get screwed.
I don't care if PC gamers are used to getting patches, updates, and DLC for free. Guess what? It shouldn't be an expected standard. Things cost money. If you don't want to buy ...
