I'm not complaining. I love firmware updates. Still remember updating my PS3 and having access to trophies. Home was another good update although I got into the beta earlier.
@ Zuper
You don't have to bring Xbox Live into the equation. Since you did though I'll say: 'you get what you pay for'. I'm not saying one service is better than another mind you. I appreciate the service.

I bought the Metal Gear Solid: The Essential Collection before MGS4. The only one I haven't played through was MGS: Snake Eater :-( I will definitely play it and soon.
I could see google buying the patent. Easy access into the hardware market. I doubt Microsoft or Sony will buy being that physical media is here to stay for at least another generation. Until bandwidth speeds increase, I don't see how OnLive will be a success aside from a niche market and demo center.
Reggie news IS pointless unless its on BADJoystick.
Only 6 more hours (Eastern time) to go before its April 2nd!
"There's even a hint at romance between Tingle and the princess."
I always knew Zelda was a man...
April Fool's!! The elevator is 3x as long!
JK- I never had a problem with the elevator, but thats good news to hear.
This is one April Fool's joke that made me sad... :-(
But its hard to say that Resistance II has any of the charm of its prequel. The campaign is one of my favorites of any FPS to date. It was epic, cohesive and atmospheric. The intel spread throughout the game and narration furthered the story. I could relate to Nathan Hale as he didn't talk (much) and the world "felt" like it was ending. I needed to save it! Granted the multiplayer is better in R2 (with awesome co-op to boot) but thats not the reason I bought the game as I wasn't ev...
I think I just threw up a little in my mouth....
Don't click the link! :-p lol
"My interest level in Sucker Punch's next PS3 action game InFamous has been teetering between "looks sort of OK" and "looks completely awesome"
Kinda how I felt about the game until I saw the video. Wow. July can't come soon enough.
You don't have anything to worry about if you update your PC semi-frequently. A patch was released in October in response to the very same exploit the worm uses. If you have the patch, no worries. The only people at risk are those who never update their PC (and don't have a firewall) and businesses.
Edit: If you want to know more, click on the couple of links that #7 posted :-)
Though you need to be careful of who you share your games with as your login info must be shared. Also, you should reserve one or two potential copies if you decide to get a second PS3 (or it is stolen, broken, etc..) for backup purposes.
The first one is a classic. Online multiplayer adds a lot of replay value on top of an combined 14 hours for both campaigns (Butcher's Bay and Dark Athena). The trophies/achievements are particularly challenging. All in all there is a lot of content and its been one of my most anticipated games this year. The demo is not a good measure of what to expect from the game.
I don't like renting either btw. Also, IGN isn't what it used to be. Sad but true. I hope I swayed your opinion t...
I know what you mean. All my classes in college, past and present, shun wikipedia. That is not to say you can't use it in some form though. Try typing in a topic of interest, and use the list of sources at the bottom of the page Thats how I get around it. There's always Brittanica.com, right? :-p
On topic: with all the restructuring at Microsoft, something had to give. Just glad the games division wasn't effected too adversely.
Going to check out the demo. Got to commend someone who made a whole game by them self. I hope Bob's game makes it to retail one day.
I'm getting this game for sure. The video comparison was pretty close so I might decide which version to get by my controller preference. I'd also like to get the version that sells more so the online doesn't fall flat 6 months in.
Awesome videos that fans of Conduit need to see. There seems to be a lot of customization in the controls as well as weapon variation. Looks a lot better than past videos.
I'm a little pissed with the review. It says little about the graphics, controls or online multiplayer. Instead it focuses on the pseudo-sequel as not being as good as Butcher's Bay. In other words, poor review. Million's of people never got to play the original because it was only on the Xbox and now might never because of this $hitty review. IGN hyped this game up sense it was announced and trashes it. Senseless, especially because most other media outlets are reviewing it much higher.
I love that controller. :-p
On topic: I only see the Zeebo as being a success in Brazil. India is much more receptive to the Playstation brand with the PS2 (and 360 to a degree).
Sega should purchase OnLive. That would cement my interest in the service. More Shenmue would be great.
