The think that with the success of both the Wii and DS, you will see more and more games geared towards the hardcore. Chinatown should sell well, but not to the same extent of any Pokemon game. Pokemon is geared towards the much larger younger demographic...although anyone can enjoy it (I know I do). GTA games traditionally sell well for long periods. The game should have "legs" when people discover its not a watered down GTA experience. Buy it! :-)
DLC such as maps shouldn't be any more than 400 points. I don't understand why M$ and other publishers don't understand that. By setting the price lower, adoption of the maps would be much faster. I would guess that half of all active users actually download the DLC if it isn't on sale (or made free in Halo's case). Still...I'm a sucker and probably will convince myself to get both. Someone please stop me :-(
I would definitely buy The Chronicles of Riddick for Wii if it had the content you propose it should have. I somewhat agree and disagree with your comments on Wii gamers being picky. I believe the hardcore segment of gamers are picky. I assume most hardcore gamers whom own a Wii also have a 360 and/or PS3 as well. Casual gamers on the other hand buy Mario and Ubisoft Petz games.
I wouldn't deny flat out that hardcore games don't sell well on the Wii...but considering only Capcom...
Why would a first part developer for Sony, of whom don't work with the 360 or possess a dev kit say such a thing I wonder...
I physically can't buy FFXIII for the 360. DLC or not I'm getting it for PS3.
The Wii isn't just a Genesis...its also a NES, Super NES, Turbo Graphix, Mega Drive, and N64. If your a hardcore Wii owner you can't overlook the Virtual Console.
Scarface on the Wii wasn't a bad game. It shouldn't have sold so poorly. Madworld only sold 60k its first week. To me this is unexceptionable. Despite the Wii selling twice as much as 360/PS3 the audience just isn't there. Most Wii owners only use it to play Wii Fit, Wii Sports, Wii Play and soon...Wii Resort.

The title should be "The Console Wars: From a Totally Uninformed Point of View." The guy took a quote from Gamespot he was convinced was unbiased. Enough said. General observation or uninformed perspective? I think the later.
Its a waste of time to say one console is better or worse. People will always agree, disagree and agree to disagree.
The 360 outsold the PS3 in Resident Evil 5 sales in the UK.

I agree that the PSN purchases are superior. It always bugs me when I have to spend just 500 points on account I'm short 100...or in my case last week, one point exact. Also, I don't mind paying for Live. I can usually find it on sale for $30 most of the year now. Each service has its strengths and weaknesses. Depending on how important some of the bullet points (5 reasons) are to you, PSN or Live might be better. No matter what anyone says, the experience that you have is entirely subjective...
The game play is almost identical for motion control for the paintbrush. The only noticeable thing is the absence of the film grain in the Wii version.
Just removed two outdated cards. Good article :-)
How typical of you to write off an article because their opinion conflicts with your own. I disagree with the article but that doesn't mean I call everyone an idiot in the process. For once expand on your thoughts on why a price drop will matter. It is my opinion that the price drop will result in sales dominance of the PS3 for months until competing consoles respond in kind. It will be interesting to see what happens. Also, it is of note that the majority of console sales are not at $300 bu...
I only played through NG2 twice so I'm torn on whether to purchase NGS2. If the graphics, frame rate and camera are improved I want to buy the definitive version. Also, I'm starting to wonder if PS3 will become the new home of Ninja Gaiden and its sequels.
@ Morgan- Sigma is the best version of Ninja Gaiden 1 although it was missing something the Xbox versions had: Ninja Gaiden 1-3 from the NES. Outside of the HD graphics, explain how Sigma was "far far better?" I'm beg...
Seems like it. I wish I knew Japanese so I could make out the rest of the text. Does it say its a port? Why is Rachael in Sigma 2?
I want it....
I hope its more than a port. If not, I hope there is more content to unlock and the trophies aren't too hard (on the 360 version you had to complete the game multiple times to get the weapon achievements). So far I've owned every Ninja Gaiden title released so I suspect I'll be getting this one "just because."
Also, I was confused when I saw the blond haired chick...she was in NGS but I don't remember her in NG2, lol.
You take my comments and distort them as fits your agenda. Yes, I do know Rockstar is legally liable in releasing financial earnings or statements. It is fact that the complete breakdown of GTA4 sales (units sold for 360 vs PS3) was not made available. A "guesstimate" of 50/50 was made. It does not benefit Rockstar and their stock more importantly to say one version or another sold more. All that is important is revenue generated per console in each fiscal cycle and how many units (...
I think everyone can agree that HHG brings nothing good to n4g. Also, the quote of the sales ratio between consoles is wrong. The 45/55 split between 360 and PS3 is flip flopped. HHG got the sales stats from VGChartz. Quote and link.
http://news.vgchartz.com/ne...
"Preliminary VGChartz data has current sell-through at around 1.6 million units across Xbox360 and PS3 (45/55% split worldwide), in ...
The site is still up. I don't condone piracy but its not blocked anymore. Check for yourself :-p
I've only played the game solo so far...anyone know if your able to use all of your items in co-op? Also, can people steal your stuff? lol.
In solo I use Shiva as a pack mule and gave her a stun rod. Works out pretty well in my opinion. Waiting for my brother to get the game for some co-op.
If anyone wants to play some co-op, hit me up. Got the 360 version.

I suppose I'm the minority that agrees with Capcom. As Capcom explained, the DLC had a different budget entirely, separate from the game. The fact that the DLC is coming out as soon as it is I believe is the main reason people are up in arms. Otherwise it would be seen as a worthy addition to the game. I think its very good of the publisher to release a traditional multiplayer component where there wasn't one to begin with. I will buy it although I wish it were free.
