Considering that Godfather 3 released 16 years after the second (1990 & 1973), EA has a little bit of time to make a decision. Video game years are much quicker than movie years so a next gen sequel shouldn't be out of the question, right? lol :-p
The only issue I find with the "noob" friendly controls is whether or not they are enabled or disabled in multiplayer and achievements.
If the auto-break feature is allowed in online play it could create a disadvantage for purists. Also, the achievements by default would be less difficult if you could rewind time. Just saying...
The graphics look great. I was very impressed that they bumped the frame rate up to 60 fps. If they do away with the jaggies (from...
There is a new Call of Duty every year
There is a new Madden every year
There is a new sports "anything" every year
There is a new Fallout (Vegas) releasing next Spring
There is a new Bioshock releasing a year after the PS3 version
There is a remix version of Ninja Gaiden 2 releasing in a year
Why does it matter?
Value is a subjective quality. I put less than 20 hours into my copy of L4D and felt justified in paying $44. Other...
I'm really liking high precision mode. Aiming and strafing feel so much more fluid and head shots are easier to come by. Check the box and enable it! :-p
And couldn't be happier paying $10 rather than $50+. I need to finish up Chrono Trigger before I can start on it! :-p
The PS4 will have cell ver 2.0 and not Larabee. Larabee is a CPU and GPU on a chip...overkill when you already have a very competent CPU.
As to Microsoft releasing their next console in 4-5 long years later...doubtful.
I predict that Microsoft will release dual 360/720 versions of each game within a couple of years. In other words, games will be forward compatible, kind of like minimum and recommended specs for PC games. I don't take credit for the idea, but believe ...
I'm pretty sure the third Kojima title is Zone of Enders. He has stated numerous times his interest in a sequel.
I am not trying to bad mouth the PS3 Motion Controller but I feel the device will be limited. The Eyetoy is horrible in high and low light situations; have you ever used it for LBP? Additionally, most people don't have an Eyetoy so your price comparison isn't valid. One more point: we haven't seen enough of Natal to say it is only good for "X" tasks and not "Y". Your jumping the gun, like usual I might add.
With all the spin on n4g you would be forgiven in thinking that M$ would have a bad E3 :-p
I think the reason there were low expectations was on account there was little shown...of anything.
If you want to see Left 4 Dead 2 footage, check out ign as they have 4 or 5 videos of the PC version.
They have already started. Comcast currently has a 250 GB cap. I haven't hit it yet but its a limitation nonetheless.
Perhaps Microsoft's new handheld "is" the Zune HD. They never stated if it could play nice with XBLA or games for that matter. Of course, its just speculation, but interesting nonetheless. The device itself sports a Nvidia Tegra processor- capable of HD resolutions. I see no reason why we couldn't see iPod touch/phone type games and/or XBLA at the very least. Just for reference Hexic and Texas Hold em' up were included in the latest Zune firmware.
Probably not but a little assuming nonetheless. God of War 3 should sell more although its subjective whether you, me or Jimmy down the street will like either game more or less.
Agreed...Blink 182 are a bunch of has been's. What are they going to sing about? Being 35 + with 2 kids, married and with a mortgage? They aren't 20 something anymore and need to change their music. Based on what I've heard lately, they seem to be stuck in the past.
I really don't see how the article is relevant. Its only a couple paragraphs long and briefly mentions "a" game. Who cares about celebrity's anyway?
But not instantly. I believe they will cut the price during the Fall/Holiday period. If the rumors of the slim PS3 prove to be true, it makes the most sense. Clearing out inventory and maintaining the current price will allow Sony to make the price cut later on. Cost cutting measures will ultimately be passed on to the consumer.
I would love if the device was the same price as the PSP 3000. Why shouldn't it? No UMD drive equals cost savings for Sony and consumer. I buy half my games digitally from PSN, XBL, and Steam so I don't have a problem with buying virtual copies of games. My only trepidation in purchasing the device is whether or not the PSP2 will be released sooner than later.
Remote play via your cell phone is awesome. I knew there would be integration with Sony's cell phones one day. If only Verizon Wireless carried this...or any Sony cell phones :-(
Thats what I was curious about also. It would be nice to have a touch screen but I doubt it. Also, what would be the point? The current PSP doesn't have a touch screen. Its a novelty when you already have buttons.
I agree with the article. DRM justifies piracy. However, the new Sims game (sans-DRM) hasn't even been released yet and is on track to beat Spores number of illegal downloads. This is like a spit in the face to publishers that think people will magically start buying DRM-less games. Sure, DRM increases piracy but does no DRM increase piracy more?
Steam is the way to go I think.
If the US version is edited, I'll have to import. Even so, I hope Quantic Dream offers an unedited version to buy online; not a fan of import tax.
