Main reason its a day 1 buy for me. I have around 21 Playstation mini's, a dozen PSOne games, and 5 PSP games that I'll be able to put on the thing. PS plus has been too kind to me.
Ever since Sony showed off the Vita for the first time (when it was still NGP) I've been interested. All of its capabilities and game support make it a must buy for anyone that loves games.
I will remember them the most for Grandia 2 on the Dreamcast. I played the game from beginning to end in less than a weeks time when I was home from the flu. They will be missed.
I purchased the gamecube in silver when it became available. Wish the option was available from the beginning. It wasn't a bad looking console by any stretch. Not sure what Nintendo was thinking with the handle in the back though :-p
I hope there is a black or silver Wii U option.
I love the controller however it lacks analog sticks and pressure sensitive triggers. Imagine using a slightly larger 3DS nub and you get the idea of how it will feel. Lack of triggers with feedback will impact FPS games as well as driving games. Nintendo needs to change both of these things if they want to attract FPS and racing (sim) fans.
Nintendo hasn't finalized the specs so all we have is speculation. Perhaps the Tokyo game show will unearth more info. Regardless, I'm interested. Depending on what Nintendo does next gen, Sony and Microsoft may be influenced if it proves successful. Worth keeping an eye on for that reason alone. We could have xbox and playstation controllers with touch screens...
I agree with you, although to be fair I was talking about the games already released. Child of Eden, and Shadows of the Damned have been on my radar for a while. Fear 3 and Dungeon Siege 3 I have reservations about as I consider them PC franchises (and my pc isn't up to stuff). We will see. The next two games I'm really excited for are Zelda and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
I don't believe all the reviews to the word, however sometimes have to trust them. If there i...
I won't believe any of the reviews (completely) until I play the game myself. Its a definite rental- there has to be a measure of truth when the reviews are universally bad. However, I will still play it.
If the Wii U is powerful enough it could come out sooner than later. After the 360 Fusion and PS3 Vision (my made up names) come out it could then get ported. Or perhaps Ubisoft might keep BGE2 in the oven till all the next gen consoles are out for simultaneous release...
If they're being ambitious we have something to look forward to :-)
Looks nice. I wonder what the collectors edition looks like... I've all but given up buying collectors editions although I would make an exception with this game.
Looks like summer games could use a quality control boost. Aside from Infamous 2, there haven't been any games come out that received universal acclaim. Its a shame too. I was looking forward to the Duke, Brink, Red Faction: Armageddon, Hunted, etc...Whats going on?! At least Zelda: Oot is coming out this month.
FYI- you can turn the 3D off. Glad we cleared that up.
Not sure where you got the lack of innovation thought. Last time I checked the PS Vita (admittedly better spec'd) did not have 3D. I can guarantee that you will see more and more 3D cell phones and a 3D PSP on the future.
Nintendo may be unconventional, behind the curve with online and specs, however they've found success precisely by being innovative. They seemingly know how to sniff out market t...
I've been intrigued by this game since it's announcement. However, for the life of me I can't understand why they've (Microsoft) upgraded the price on Kinect titles originally meant to be downloadable. Gunstringer and Project Eden were originally supposed to be $15-20 games. I know I'm not alone in that my interest was closely tied to price. If the games are worth it then I could change my mind however we're still talking $30 more tacked onto the retail cost :-/. If t...
Looking forward to this game. I own the first two and wonder if I should play them in order or knock them out in order of release...Darn Steam sales have left me with a backlog of games I cannot hope to complete :-/
Another dragon game? So that's what people are calling it...
Demon's Souls and it's pseudo sequel are dissimilar to any game on the market. Don't confuse genre and setting as they are completely different things.
I plan on owning both...and effectively avoiding the "handheld wars." However, I can't help but feel a tinge of regret that I paid $250 bones for a 3DS. If the PS Vita was more expensive perhaps I could validate my purchase. Then again, Zelda is still not out and I have zero games to play at the moment so I guess not (yet) :-/
I'm looking forward to playing games on both handhelds. Hopefully they offer unique experiences for years to come...and touch screen ...
I found Demon's Souls to be quite nice looking, however not because of the graphics, but the art direction.
I love how people see the word "port" and automatically assume the worst. Its common practice nowadays to make the PS3 version the lead platform on account its easier to port from the PS3 to 360. It used to be the opposite and the PS3 version suffered slightly (or not at all); no one seemed to think it was the end of the world then. There are plenty of por...
Sony stole the show? The announcement of the PS Vita for $250/$300 was the most exciting aspect of the show (for me), however, none of the big three had any big surprises. Microsoft's conference was all about Kinect for better or worse. Nintendo's conference could be summarized as confusing. Sony's conference had few surprises as most of their games were announce far ahead of time- those of you who break out the Sony exclusive game lists' know what I'm talking about.
Most likely, although I would also speculate that Bioshock Infinite has Kinect functionality. Mass Effect 3 allegedly has "Better with Kinect" on the 360 box art; it was found on EA's own server. We have less than a week to find out.
Do I have to spell it out for you? OK. I wasn't referring to your grammar but the grammar of the person you were attacking. Why in the world you find that sentence (the one you were commenting on)so funny, I'll never understand. Bad grammar is so funny! Dur!
I would be interested in getting this game if my 11 month old son didn't buy Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planewalkers 2012 on "accident." I've never played Magic nor the games. Darn those Xbox adverts! Perhaps I learned a valuable lesson. Never leave your Xbox controller lying around if you have young children or they'll turn on your console and buy stuff :-p haha!
