I agree. Also, lets not forget that Bungie wanted to work on new IP yet were contractually obligated to work on Halo. 343 Studios was created for one purpose only: to make Halo games. Among their staff they have ex-Bungie employees that still want to work on Halo. If you have any doubts about them "screwing up Halo" look no further than Halo CE Anniversary. The game is pure fan service. Halo 4 is in capable hands.
I'm on the fence about this one. I guess I'll have to play the demo. Xbox Live Summer of Arcade started off in a good way with Bastion, I hope the rest live up to expectation. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet looks amazing.

How many Kinect Star Wars previews are there? Many. Not all are bad. Not all are good. The force powers are said to have been pretty cool as well as the pod racing. Light saber battles on the other hand are implemented slightly different from what people expected. Hopefully the game turns out all right.

@ Biggest- I think what he was trying to say was that there is little difference between versions if you compare the sum of parts. There were frame rate drops in both versions. If barely noticible draw distance improvements convince you that one version is "superior" than the other I suppose your not someone that can be reasoned with.

No one but Nintendo and a select few publishers know how powerful the Wii U hardware will be. I believe its too early to write off the Wii U and pretend it won't be influential to the next gen plans of Sony and Microsoft. Personally, I hope the Wii U is a success, as I want the PS4 and Xbox 720 to come out sooner rather than later.

Xbox Live built into Windows 8 would also offer a viable competitor to iOS and android tablets.
Windows 8 will be able to run on ARM architecture. This is possibly the most exciting thing about the OS (for me). Windows 8 tablets with ARM system on a chip will offer a truely mobile experience with all the conveniences that we've come to expect on our desktops/laptops. The battery life will be excellent (thanks to ARM soc), you'll be able to edit Microsoft Office docu...
My guess is that multiplayer gaming will remain free for all members. Games for Windows Live reboot did away with charging for multiplayer gaming...it wasn't popular. If they want to compete with Steam they won't reintroduce fees.
The console side of the business on the other hand will probabably restrict multiplayer gaming for non-paying (silver) members.
Hopefully EA will learn the hard way. Treating your customers like dirt and limiting access to paid content is not acceptable. I don't forsee an exodus of Steam members to Origin however the vast majority of Origin users probably will have no idea :-/

I spent 200 plus hours in Oblivion and have played dozens of old and new rpgs. If I primarily use a sword, shield, pick locks and cast fire why should I be limited in proficiency by whether or not they're minor or major skills?
The first time I saw it, I was more turned off by the low rez textures and the cartoony enemies than the color scheme. A part of me wishes Nintendo releases an HD version of Skyward when the Wii U comes out.
I sold my mint collector's edition and regret it. I figured that after spending 200 plus hours and combing every inch of Cyrodiil finding easter eggs I couldn't possibly play it anymore :-p

I believe that Microsoft needs another "hook" to keep people paying Xbox Live Gold membership dues. I'm not sure what that could possibly be, however they need to make mulitplayer free. Its still confusing to me what I'm paying for outside of weekly deals on games. I grudgingly pay for it, if only to have access to the aforementioned deals and mulitplayer whenever I want it.
