True, and I think even going back to PS2, that launch wasn't so good. A platform can certainly bounce back from a lackluster launch. 3DS has time to do that.
Makes sense. People are hungry for a new GTA. I could even see it doing more than 24 mil over its entire lifetime.
Two analogs definitely helps. And that screen is very bright and hi-res, great to look at. I thought the same thing way back when the first PSP came out and the screen tech has gotten way better over the years.
They're hoping to strike the right balance and appeal to both crowds with future iterations - admittedly not easy to do!
Well, Take-Two has said that they do plan on doing more Duke.
Wow, never would have expected that.
Well, I disagree Peter!
I'd say $20 would be the sweet spot on portable software.
Makes sense. All that mobile talk was kinda sending a mixed message.
If you're into racers, it's quite good. Well deserved Codies!
I still don't have much faith that the Star Wars MMO is going to be a huge success.
Valid point about $80 games. If the next-gen is that much more powerful it will require even bigger teams and bigger budgets and costs keep going up. Those costs will be passed on to consumers. It's not sustainable.
Exactly.
It's certainly an interesting dilemma for the industry.
Wow, craziness. I honestly thought CoD peaked with the sales last year for Black Ops. If Activision pulls off yet another new sales record that's impressive.
Haha. Well, it would finally mean NIntendo supported mobile and tablets in a real way.
Mario Kart and the new Super Mario coming this holiday will be great.
It's a shame. The game is actually pretty cool.
I'm guessing $299 for Wii U. Higher than that and they'll see a big prob just like what happened now with 3DS.
Very interesting read. A lot of unexpected things have happened in the industry for sure.
