He's right. It seems like some devs tack on multiplayer in games that don't need it to give it more "value" so gamers won't trade it in.
Very interesting commentary. I haven't heard this Asif Khan analyst much before but he's a sharp guy.
Totally agree. BF3 should make a nice dent, and maybe in another year or so it'll overtake the next CoD.
Zelda online title could be interesting...
Good read. I do feel Nintendo is sort of caught in between. I mean it's not going to be much more than another couple years before we see a new Xbox or a PS4, and those will probably blow Project Cafe out of the water.
Like anything! New levels, items, avatars, etc. Nintendo needs to get its act together on this front.
Well, even a timed exclusive would be a big win for Nintendo. And while GTA skipped Wii, there's precedent on working with Nintendo if you consider Chinatown Wars.
Imagine GTA V exclusively for Project Cafe! That would be nuts. Or a new Half-Life!
I think he's right. I've tried OnLive and while it's not perfect, it's pretty good and the kinks in the tech will be ironed out in the next few years so it becomes really enticing for a lot of people.
That story was referring to fiscal 2013, which starts april 2012, so this report squares up actually. I would bet on GTA V shipping in April or May of next year.
Good. Games like this deserve to do well. It's good for the industry and the games medium.
Fantastic news! Take2 should give them anything they want, really.
If Nintendo wanted to make a big splash with Project Cafe this would be a great way to do it. This and if they got some sort of exclusive, even timed exclusive on GTA V.
Well they certainly are helping with great games like LA Noire. The acting and animation are superb.
Bring Alan Wake to iPad!
Awesome! Can't wait to check it out :)
So I wonder who might acquire them... EA or Activision? Activision arguably needs them more. Activision doesn't have many properties besides Call of Duty and Blizzard stuff.
I agree. It's been a ridiculous amount of time since Nintendo had a proper launch.
First Denis Dyack and now Gameloft... lots of hate for Social it seems.
Yeah seriously, make it $200 and launch a brand-new Mario game.
